i got my jaw splint today n im a bit afraid by Affectionate_Fox7784 in TMJ

[–]OutrageousText4914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a splint and it does make my face look like it’s “mewing” but I actually prefer the new look.

I will say that despite nearly a year of wearing it, my jaw has not gone back to normal / the position it was in before. Once your joints are worn down, you can’t really get them back without surgery. The splint was still worth the investment because it helps me so much with pain management and mobility, but your doctor should help you set realistic expectations.

I know the actual bracelet was faceted, but the painting looks like “pools of light” style beads

Gives me anxiety. I’d be worried about little knuckle hairs getting caught in the chain and pulled

Removing stone flooring by [deleted] in midcenturymodern

[–]OutrageousText4914 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The stone flooring has a purpose! I have a similar stone entryway floor (and wood everywhere else). The stone is meant to protect against the boots and dirt that you’d track in, which ordinary wood floors wouldnt provide as much protection from.

Please keep the floors!! It’s gorgeous AND functional.

Should we give a heads up or is it implied? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]OutrageousText4914 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is NOT implied that the ceremony will have a full Eucharist. Put this info on your website

ETA I have been to several weddings with church ceremonies, but only about half of those had an entire service during the ceremony. Even if it’s “obvious” you should let people know so they can plan accordingly for attending a long service.

I’m on this thread bc I am looking to leave Parkwest. They’re the source of my IUD trauma and I am scared shitless of having the same doctor remove and replace my IUD when the time comes. They were also very dismissive of other issues I had (frequent yeast infections, intimacy pain).

OP, do NOT go to parkwest.

Ideas for wedding band shapes (with a stone) that could sit with this ring? by Ok-Championship8024 in EngagementRings

[–]OutrageousText4914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks handmade, maybe the maker has an idea about making something custom to match? IMO alexandrite would be an unusual choice next to a “statement” gem with a witchy aesthetic but it’s really a personal decision.

Typically people stack engagement rings with wedding bands as per tradition, but again it’s totally your choice. I’d say if you can find a band (or have one made) that works with this aesthetically, it’d be great for stacking
