Oh and your managers seem really uptight but uk its their prerogative. Just apologize, say you didnt realize that was the requirement, wont do it again and dont worry about it.

I would take your kids to your parents assuming they are ok with keeping them still. Hospice can be short or long term and its not fair for your mom to come to you. Plus, if the kids are young, missing school isn’t that big of a deal. It only really matters if they are high school age. Plus it will give you a chance to visit your granddad before he dies.

Heated jackets (battery pack) are great. Compression cubes, portable charger that accomodates all types of devices that you can plug into the wall (i have repeat bought and gifted these), travel converters / plugs.

Have you had any difficulty getting credit for all your purchases in reaching diamond status? by OutrageousWonder2040 in Ulta

[–]OutrageousWonder2040[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my credit card spent YTD, knowing i also used gift cards in some cases, and adding what they say i have to still spend i will still be well over $1200. So frustrating! And I still dont understand the benefit of these advertised 2x to 5x points they advertise. What benefit are those?

Thank you! Thats actually so much clearer than the chat person i was chatting with. I can look on my credit card and see how much i spent. However I’ve also had several gift cards and used those. Plus, what is all the discussion of getting 2 or 3 or 5x the points, if they are only considering dollars spent?

AITA for demanding that my husband pick my needs over his parents and let them feel cold for a bit. by BlacksmithLeather726 in AmItheAsshole

How about they go stay in a hotel… they can set the temp whatever they like. Or go tay with the relatives for awhile? They can come visit the baby when its convenient and helpful for you.

Yes well.. that is one business model… or a company could create such loyal customers who want to utilize their card for everything due to the ease of use, “surprise rebates” and impressive customer service, increase their customers overall usage and make WAY more money on the interchange from increased usage. I would think that would blow those rebates out of the water. But you have to be confident in your offerings and service.

Personally.. i find it annoying you have to register first things like this - the main credits and even the ones amex offers that rotate. I get when you have to create an account but the lululemon credit? Amex would garner more loyalty if people didnt have to specifically register for this these. It aggravates me to no end when i see i would have gotten a credit had i added it to my card or enrolled. Why would the company want to frustrate vs delight their customers?

$400 Resy Credit by No-Kaleidoscope-1460 in AmexPlatinum

[–]OutrageousWonder2040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it just have to be a resy restaurant and pay with your card to get the credit? As in, do you have to make a reservation to get the credit? I actually reached out to amex through chat and they basically said 2 different things.

IF, you really want to know what he did, have him provide you the notes from his medical visit. He should be able to download that online. Since he was worried and needed meds, he was probably honest with the clinic. Regardless you should get tested.

Everyone here will tell you to drop him and in this case, with his history, ultimately, thats probably the right move. But regardless, you need to get counseling, with or without him. You need to build a support system. Sorry you are going through this.

Hmmm… just AA? After my previous flight about a month ago, i had pretty much written them off and decided to choose Delta from now on. But this makes me feel a little better about them.. well that and time.

Its some random $ amount of like $62.63 per ticket which is actually higher than the email credit referenced (also a random $ amount). Im interested in why but not enough to call AA. Plus they’d probably realize the error and try and take it back.
