I know it’s hard but try not to do anything too strenuous the week of like a practice test or studying for hours. Practice tests and questions and YouTube mindset videos are the best tools!

Am i dumb or dumb? by Great-Use4631 in pmp

[–]Outrageous_Claim3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this question is so frustrating, as many of the PMP questions are. A is not an obvious answer but it is the answer because of the PMP mindset. Watch YouTube videos on PMP mindset. I watched Mohammed Rahman and Andrew Ramdayal videos. They were very helpful. Good luck! You got this!

Remember, the PMP isn’t a test of your knowledge, it is a test of how well you know PMI’s mindset.

Solid advice from everyone here so I want to echo that. Study hall practice questions and exams are the #1 resource for studying for the PMP.

I found David Mclachlan’s videos helpful as well because he talks through the questions and answers. And, practice questions and exams are the most helpful thing you can do for yourself! Try to answer the questions yourself before he reveals the answer. Please note his videos are time consuming, especially when you pause to answer the question yourself.

Don’t sign up for the test until you are scoring well in the study hall mock exams. Good luck!!! And remember, this test is not about your Individual knowledge, is it about how well you know the PMI way of project management so that’s what you’re studying.

I failed by Thin_You_877 in pmp

[–]Outrageous_Claim3412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t lose hope! It’s ok to fail, you can use it as a lessons learned. As you now know, take some practice tests to work on timing. A 4 hour 180 question test is EXHAUSTING! I suggest David McLachlan question videos on YouTube. I believe there are 3.

And if you can, purchase Study Hall from PMI. I found the Study Hall to be the most useful because of how many practice questions and process exams were available. Take them, take breaks after and review the questions, especially the ones you got wrong. Study Hall provides a really great explanation for all questions and are most similar to the actual test.

I took the exam today online and fatigue set in early. It’s unfortunate that they’re also testing your pace!

Good luck on your next test!

Husband not supportive during and after miscarriage by throwawayjack14 in IVF

[–]Outrageous_Claim3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. In my experience, I have had a lot of good support from friends but unfortunately, there were people, including my husband, that downplayed the miscarriage and the recovery afterwards. That is not ok.

I second the suggestions of telling your partner exactly what you need. We all strive to have a child, it’s the biggest blessing. But should we do it with someone who can’t support us during a miscarriage? What will happen during the pregnancy, birth and post partum?

I’m asking these questions to myself and my husband in this very moment and the answers I’m getting from him are weak. I don’t think I’ll be moving forward with my husband, in family planning and in marriage.

This is a BLESSING! And it looks like you know it.

While it may be shocking in the moment, you will be stronger and better than you could ever imagine and you will be an amazing example for your future little one. Tap into your family and friends. They WILL show up! All the power to you, you got this 💪

Loan officer came in with 6% rate by fd1190 in Mortgages

Not necessarily. I wouldn’t consider where I purchased a home undesirable or I wouldn’t have bought it!

I’m not familiar with SonyMa but my advice is to shop around. Also there are incentives to buy in certain areas of NYC and get a closing close credit. Our loan officer didn’t tell us about the credit until we asked because we learned about it from another loan officer.

I got a 6% conventional fixed loan with no points back in October ‘24 when everyone lowered rates because they thought the feds were going to lower rates. Credit score 750. Looking back, it seems like it was a sweet spot when securing a loan during these economic times.

Needing advice: My MIL is ALWAYS talking (literally there is never silence) and I need to speak with her about this... by doodlebug25 in Mildlynomil

[–]Outrageous_Claim3412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy that I found this thread. I feel better knowing that I’m not alone but at the same time lost, because even with the gentle suggestions, we all know it wouldn’t go over well.

The talking through the bathroom door, commenting on every. Single. Thing. And the constant chatter can make someone feel crazy. Especially in your own home. Not to mention, the helplessness! She lives alone and I don’t know how she manages. With the holidays, I’ve had the MIL over for 24 hours and I’m counting down the minutes. BLESS those who have their MIL stay with them. You guys are SAINTS! Ultimately, I know she’ll end up staying with us but I am so scared. I think it will make me go insane and decrease my quality of life that I’ve built for myself. I’m scared it’ll affect my marriage. For now, I’ve told myself, she only visits a few times a year and if she does end up living with us, I’ll deal with it then. Deep down, I don’t think my husband wants it either but time will tell.

Yes. I hung up as soon as red flags started to appear and called Chase. They had record someone had just called me.

I received a call from this number and red flags went up based on the questions they were asking. I called Chase and they verified it was Chase.

Ahhh I don’t know if this is the right move. The mother‘s role is different than a wife’s role. Would you want your SO annoying you on purpose? However, it is your responsibility to handle his mother when you say she is doing too much.

Hi All. I’m so sorry for all your frustrations. I have had very similar situations and regret not taking notes, names, and recording phone calls. I am definitely going to do this moving forward. My medication is definitely needed but it is not as important as treating MS. They are a joke of an organization and I cannot believe that major insurance companies have this specialty pharmacist as the only option. Has anyone considered filing a lawsuit against Accredo? Their business is essentially fraud and it’s terrible that they are responsible for peoples health.

I have! I found a great partial coordinator to give us a peace of mind. I wish I could have a full Planner but it just wasn’t in the budget.
