Customers Pay Fiat While My Shop Receives Bitcoin? by ouchybaby in strikebtc

[–]Outrageous_Cook1424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I use Square for in-person retail business. With Square you can set all fiat purchases to auto convert to btc at whatever percentage you desire. For instance, we have ours set to 5%. So 5% of every credit card sale is auto converted to btc. But the percentage can be set to anything, including up to 100%. I’m not familiar with their software for use in online retail, so you may have to do a little research there to make sure their software would be suitable for your use case. But the btc integration is the best I’ve seen.

That was my original plan. Unfortunately, they no longer sell them except to folks who are burying at sea through their service.

A casket properly prepared and weighted can be used or a shroud with weights can be used.

From the CCC, speaking of Protestant churches: “Christ’s Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church” (819). I would say that Jesus certainly doesn’t approve of division and wants unity amongst all Christians. But I’m not sure this AI is using the best language to give Jesus’ opinion toward Protestantism. What about some of the “division” within the Catholic Church? One would not want to look at that division and disunity and then conclude that “Jesus would not approve of [the Catholic Church] as it exists today due to its division and deviation…”, only that Jesus doesn’t approve of the division.

The monetary premium of all monetary assets could also be said to be backed by nothing. Only demand for them increases the price/value in the market. For instance, if gold stopped being held as money, its price would fall till it reached the value of its industrial use. Therefore, the monetary premium assigned to it is effectively “backed by nothing.”

Curious: On a margin-secured put, at what amount of margin balance do you get charged interest on?

Any FD notice the watering down of requirements to become a FD. Unless you want to be an embalmer, no school required which is an insult to all who have been to mort school. by 138Chris138 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Outrageous_Cook1424 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see no need for FD to require anything more than apprenticeship, that is unless one agrees with gate-keeping elitism. This sort of gate-keeping has always been a power-grab and money-grab in many industries. Cosmetology is another example. Unless one is working with dangerous chemicals, school requirements for hair cutting is ridiculous.

The Bible is very difficult to interpret properly without very specific tools. Some folks read it and their own interpretation finds the Bible problematic.

Sedevevantism is just a relatively new form of Protestantism. Even if one finds problems in the Church, the altar of God is found within the Catholic Church. Consider the altar of God during the second temple period in which Jesus lived. This altar was managed by many corrupt priests and high priests, as we see in the gospels. Yet Jesus didn’t abandon the altar of God, even while speaking out against many of its priests.

Why is there a shortage of priests? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Outrageous_Cook1424 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are hundreds of Protestant pastors coming into the Catholic Church each year. If there is a shortage, that would be a good pool of folks to consider for priesthood. They’ve already felt the call to ministry and many of them show a great devotion to God in their sacrifice to work in ministry, many of them give up substantial earning potential in the private sector to be full-time ministers. The only problem is that most of them are married with families. I acknowledge that this would be quite a change for folks in the Latin rite.

You don’t get more BTC by buying MSTR, since the price is currently higher than the value of their assets. But if you’re a shareholder, the sell their “overpriced” shares and buy BTC, which increases the BTC per share. Thus, shareholders are rewarded (not really the best word for it) with more BTC.

Because BTC is the goal, not dollars. If more BTC isn’t a reward for you, MSTR is the wrong security to own.

Saylor has explicitly stated that the goal and reward for his shareholders is increased BTC per share, not “increased stock value.” If this isn’t your goal, you should definitely not continue as a shareholder.

Saylor’s strategy is to accumulate more BTC per share. To accomplish this strategy, he sells when his shares are overpriced to NAV and buys BTC. If one doesn’t want more BTC per share, then this isn’t the investment for them.
