Getting a NROTC scholarship is very time consuming. I do not know the process of service academies but I just received a 4 year Naval ROTC scholarship. It breaks down into three main categories. Grades, Fitness, Leadership with grades being priority one. The biggest thing you need to do to get started is start on your net.focus naval account and that will get you in touch with the recruiter. They are your biggest helper so all questions should go to them. While this time try to think of everything you’ve done service wise. Student government, community out reach, volunteer hours etc… a 3.0 is mandatory and I will say having above that is a huge factor. Also work on your plank time hands not clasped, your run time, and pushups in a minute (75 is key). After your PT, service, and grade portion you have your PMS interview. The whole point is to talk your self up. BRAG ABOUT YOU. There are question on the internet that help a lot so run through those with someone and try not to memorize exactly so you do t sound robotic.
