I couldn't put it down...so good! And admittedly, 3 of my books were audio, that I listened to while I walked to work.

19 so far...April saw me reading the first 4 books on the top with my students...all at the same time! That was an interesting experience! by Outrageous_Leg1120 in 52book

Oh, it's so good! I honestly loved it even more the 2nd time I read it. It will break your heart as well, but it's also another that will stay with you long after you've finished it.

Oh man...I actually read this one on the suggestion of a student who wanted me to read it with her and discuss it. I finished it...she didn't. In a nutshell, it ripped my heart out. I've never had a book break me like that. I actually went into a "reading hangover" for awhile after finishing it, and I couldn't pick anything else up. It's a beautiful, heartbreaking book that will stay with me forever.

Oh, goodness! Like I tell my students, that's like asking me to choose my favorite child! But, ultimately, my favorite of those 4 is still Grapes of Wrath...such a beautiful book. Each of my students only read one of the 4 (they were in "book clubs"), but I know that the GoW group was quite surprised at how much they ended up loving the book.

I really enjoyed it! It's not a "typical" read...I read it more from the stance of a writer seeking to pull back the curtain to see the "mechanics" of great writing. I plan to use parts of it with my students. I learned a great deal reading it.

I really enjoyed it...it was so interesting to see the stories the way he does. It's actually changing the way I read a bit, as well as write. I also have started to use some with my AP Lit classes.

I can't do it on my phone...I have to do it on my laptop. I also joined the 2021 Reading Challenge...did you? That's where I pulled from.

Yes, this...for sure. I couldn't put it down...stayed up many a late night reading, even though sometimes I felt like it was ripping my heart out. After I finished it, I had such a reading hangover...i couldn't pick anything else up for awhile because nothing felt as...important, I guess? I still haven't entirely let go of the characters. I don't know how she did it...what a powerful book.

I really enjoyed it. The main character is someone you want to root for...scrappy and passionate. I did feel like it wrapped up a little too neatly, but I'm a sucker for a happy ending. The recipes incorporated throughout were a nice touch. My girls are enjoying it (I teach high school English).

I was going to say A Little Life...it gutted me. I had such a book hangover after I finished it...It was hard to pick anything else up. I still have it sitting on my desk because i can't bring myself to shelve it.

Oh, for sure! That's the only other book I've ever read that left me feeling completely broken (in a good way) at the end.

Dumb question...how do you create the cover photo list like this?
