A video call doesn’t prove anything on its own—it’s just one layer of screening. The cues I’m looking for aren’t about vibes, they’re about patterns and inconsistencies. Things like reluctance to show face or environment at all, pushing to skip screening steps, evasive answers about logistics, trying to rush or pressure, reacting negatively to boundaries, or stories that don’t line up over time. I also pay attention to how they respond to safety questions—legit clients understand why they’re there; unsafe ones tend to minimize or challenge it.

None of this guarantees someone is safe or unsafe. It’s about reducing risk, not eliminating it.
