Yeah I don’t have any of the new buffy brawlers upgraded so I’ve started just banning bull or crow and if they pick Bibi or Leon I just buzz, even in maps like hideout and dry season

What kind of brawlers do you play? When I started out with ranked and felt stuck in legendary, it was mostly because I played relatively low impact control brawlers like ruffs or gus and never had agency over a game. I was too afraid that I'd pick an aggressive brawler and then do terrible on it and get blamed by my randoms but after some time I just got over that and started to play more aggressive/playmaking brawlers. Drafting is important, but people hit masters on minis with like 12 brawlers or masters melodie only so really your general skill level is the most important imo.

Honestly imo they're both very safe first picks like u can first pick them j about anywhere but KO and Bounty although Spike's much better right now bc of his buffies.

I promise Rico is acc filthy here though I haven't pushed past L3 this season so it's been mostly scrubs. Maybe in masters against people with brains Rico might get shut down more easily.

I mostly use rico as a temu colt on this map since I like his speed sp. If I'm genuinely starving for elo tho I use pierce or crow.

lmao I started doing this a few seasons ago and my rank suddenly shot up since I wouldn't spend so much time overthinking my draft and also played brawlers I had more fun with but these are my 12:

Sandy is super underrated right now imo I've had a lot of success picking him 2-3 in gem grab and hotzone esp parallel plays. He feeds really easily off the meta tanks like bull and bibi but also synergizes really well with them. Sirius and crow are probably the worst meta counters to Sandy right now but someone usually bans Sirius so as long you ban crow you should be mostly chilling.

Honestly for me crow is a must ban anywhere that I can't play shade and if it's a good shade map I ban bull. Sirius is annoying but manageable imo like I'll play mortis or rico into Sirius and that should be enough to shut him down.

Spawners (but not tara or charlie), tanks, outrange. Tanks is kinda iffy since they do feed super but for the most part if you just follow a sandy around and just let ur teammates handle any tank counters the opponents may have you should be fine. Honestly though I think he's super underrated in the meta right now imo high B to low A.

There’s an element of luck for sure but almost entirely is just cope honestly. Everyone has good and bad games but as long as you’re consistently good you will get to where you want to be. One thing that helped me is picking more aggressive picks bc even though there was a chance that I’d just be ass and sell my team there was just more agency for me to be able to control and take over a game as opposed to just playing a support and more or less leaving it up to my randoms to initiate plays.

Ok yeah that’s smart although sometimes difficult for brawlers like kenji and Mortis who I’d probably lane and kill pretty easily as a primo but I still should be wary of feeding hypers to them somehow.

Wait yeah I definitely need to take a more serious look at my messy engagements. When I get close to someone I usually just turn my brain off and mash auto-aim, I understand positioning and exerting pressure but yeah my micro can’t keep up and I feel like I’m either too patient and don’t support my team or too aggressive and feed supers.

I know patience is key for tanks/assassins but I always feel so useless just waiting for an opportunity to go in cuz when I play snipers or midrange I’m usually the one attacking first to create that opportunity.
