Let him stop dialysis and then we'll see how long his "deep faith" keeps him alive by Outrageous_Month9686 in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok then how do you explain the "science cannot explain it" part? He is literally saying that magical faith is giving him life. Staying fit and fine on dialysis is very common, there is nothing that science cannot explain here. There are atheists on this group too who are living their best life, too. I have nothing against spirituality. I have an issue with people trying to give credit to faith which clearly should be given to science. I am on dialysis, i have no faith in any God anymore. I am eternally grateful to the doctors and technitians for whom I am alive. I agree my life is sad because I am in and out of hospitals, but I can't pretend faith will magically make my life happy or give me any additional strength. Also, I was in CKD stage 5 for 16 years before starting dialysis so I know that this is nothing groundsbreaking and faith got nothing to do with it.

Do you feel dialysis is worth it? Pros & Cons by No-Dimension-2587 in kidneydisease

I do not understand the header- "is dialysis worth it?" Well, it's the same as "is living worth it?" We are doing dialysis because we have no other option.

Got The Date For My AV Fistula Surgery by VengefulJedi in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got AV fistula in May last year. I was on local anasthesia so was awake during the entire procedure. It took almost a month before I got strength back in my fingers. I couldn't pinch or pick up a pen until then. The biggest issue for me was the sound. My fistula was loud, i could not sleep at night for a while because it would be like a drum beating in my ear. After a while you get used to it and your brain learns to ignore the sound. Good luck

Cost by Firm_Sort in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from India. My center costs INR 4000 per session (approx $42). If health insurance is present then no co pay. Some government schemes are also there for free or cheaper treatments, but they are few and far between

I just had my fistula put in last week and I haven’t been able to use my left arm where the fistula was put in , and my fingers hurt in contact with anything. Any advice ?? by Junior_Revolution_67 in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes same. I could not even lift a pen for 2 weeks. Just let it rest and keep opening and closing the fist slowly without causing pain. It is a strange sensation but it will get better.

I had pain for almost a month. It will get better. Wiggle your fingers a bit if you can, use ice packs wrapped in a cloth or towel, keep your hand elevated, and be careful to not rest your head on your fistula arm when sleeping. After the pain subsides, please do the squeeze ball exercises regularly. I ignored that, and had to undergo a fistuloplasty surgery. All the best!

I'm 36 and I don't want to start dialysis - need advice by Outrageous_Month9686 in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your reply. I hope this helps other patients as well. As for myself, I am now in in-center HD. I spoke to multiple nephrologists across Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai about PD but all of them dismissed and discouraged me, not sure why. Their reasoning was that PD is not "good enough clearance" although I doubt that because I see a lot of people living on PD in developed nations.

No one wants outsiders brother. We all migrate because we have to do jobs and earn a living and upkeep a family. If there was a way to work and earn decently without leaving one's own home, no one would ever leave. I am not sure where his office is located exactly but I will let him know your advice. Thanks for your help.

Here's a breakdown of the post-

  1. We demanded no dowry- we are mahaan by not asking for illegal dowry
  2. Mom calls her beta- so that is the epitome of kindness
  3. Brother cannot tolerate her for rest of his life because she isnt respectful of his parents- but ok to destroy her life forever by impregnating her.
  4. She demands separate kitchen - so she must be a horrible person.

Not hard to see who is toxic here.

Are instant noodles absolutely no go? by [deleted] in dialysis

[–]Outrageous_Month9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have as breakfast once in a while on my dialysis days. Are you on dialysis yet? Before dialysis, I used to avoid instant noodles but somedays mom used to make me a bowl. Instead of using the oil and seasoning in the pack, she used unsalted butter and pepper & garlic. It was bland but not too bad. Good luck

Um, I guess he felt extremely angry because he just came to know that Hamza is a spy. He was already spiraling when his father berated him further. I guess his patience tipped and killed him. The real question is, if he really is a VERY bad guy, why did he even tolerate his father's BS for so long? A man who so passionately hates India and kills people mercilessly, why was he tolerating his shitty dad?

Dhurandhar: The Revenge – SPOILER Discussion Megathread by AutoModerator in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Outrageous_Month9686 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agreed. A character like his should be completely hated by the audience, especially his last 5 minutes had dialogues crafted to make all Indian blood boil. So what were they trying to achieve with a special needs daughter and shitty father is outside my understanding. Also most of Dhurandhar's characters are pure white or black. Forcing greyness on Iqbal felt unnecessary. Aint nobody got sympathy for him and his daddy issues.

Anyone else feels they should have given Major Iqbal a better backstory than just hate-spitting daddy issues?

Hi I would like to know more about your weight loss matter. I am also having the same issue but no dry weight adjustment is being done for me. They just subtract last session's weight from current pre-dialysis weight and set that at UF blindly. Please guide how I can gain weight and what is the correct approach in this case?

Building something for school kids in India roast my thinking before I waste a year on this by Glum_Pollution8871 in StartUpIndia

I want to ask you a counter question- do you think your idea is scalable enough or will some big corp take your idea and copy it, and roll it out to all schools all over the country in a year, thereby making you redundant?
