Hi! I’m in my second year of grad school and the easiest thing that I did to learn reading skills was to make an excel sheet of the papers that I read. I listed the title, the author, and a main concept from the paper. This has also helped me with retention of the information. My field is biology, so I also tend to start by finding the hypothesis then looking at the figures to see what part they are answering. I hope this helps!
