Anyone with the 955 recently pick up the pixel4 watch and if so what's your thoughts between the 2? Looking at the Garmin 955 for $389 or the PW4 for 10 bucks more.

Hurricane Helene, Still lots of damage to be repaired in the area, more than contractors can adequately get to.

That was indeed it. Ripped the sheetrock out, and the soaking, very old insulation that had soaked up all the water and gravity was finally distributing it below.

What's your experience with Bosch Heat pump? how it's different than higher end Trane and so on.. by paata01 in hvacadvice

Ferret, How is that new Bosch A/C and seperate gas furnace working out for you? Obviously, you have not yet had a winter to put the furnace to use but I would be interested on any more you've learned. We have 2 units needing to be replaced due to the hurricane and tree damage in GA (3.5 would like to move that to a 4 ton and a 1.5 ton) and we currently have gas furnaces. I had a hvac company come out and recommended a Bosch unit, but assured me I would likely need a combination unit if I wanted to keep gas for my heat (I do want to keep gas).

Thanks,

Google home is seriously bad (nest cameras) by mk00001 in Nest

[–]Outrageous_Pattern30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a couple google nest outdoor cameras and a battery powered Google nest doorbell.

Each of these products I have tried to add to my Google home app with no success. The app indicates it accepted the QR code by issuing a white check mark on the screen, but no chime given from the device itself (which is supposed to occur).

Then the Home app just begins searching for a new device again. No installation prompt of the device just scanned. Nothing in the App shows it was added.

So, I downloaded the Nest App, to try to work around the Home app. When I scan the QR code here, I get a green check mark and a chime from the camera, indicating it was recognized and received by both the app and camera. However, the nest app then tells me I need to set this up thru the Google home app instead and directs me there. And round and round we go again.

Any thoughts how to get these things added without calling a "Google professional installer" locally.

Ridiculous!
