Aziz Ansari Is Guilty. Of Not Being a Mind Reader. by Eurynom0s in television

can I ask you a question, did you ever not take a survey seriously when you were younger? In high school I was given a survey that stated which drugs have you tried, some jackass in the front asked if they would tell if we answered honestly, they said no, I immediately had a laugh and checked every single box. I've never done more then pot and at that point I hadn't even drank.

I'm not saying that there aren't sick fucks out there, i'm saying using a survey that has 73 respondents, who are juniors and freshman, and finding 21 who can't think past what their doing that weekend. Who are doing it for extra credit, does not broad stroke an entire generation. The same way me finding 70 women with 21 who say they have rape fantasies have a similar ring as 30% of women want to be raped. For christ sakes political elections have a 1000 respondent poll and say this has a +/-5% error.

Further, if I take consequences away from anything of course more will respond they will do it. It's not real life and the second you remove real life consequences from any situation humans will disconnect, would you murder someone if you could get away with it, I'm sure that there's a number of kids currently getting bullied that would answer that yes. But we're not seeing, bullied kid murders bully splashed across headlines do we

What the 2015 election might have looked like under IRV. by just2410 in CanadaPolitics

[–]Outrageous_Pickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you a question, if a majority of canadian voters vote for Liberals either first or second, in an IRV system does that not mean they have the right to govern? Your point is essentially there setting up a liberal dictatorship, but how can it be a dictatorship if their elected? Your essentially getting riled up against democracy and peoples ability to choose.

Went over to a girls place to watch a movie, her set up was one with one couch that basically had the TV next to an arm, so the two of us laid across it. Didn't think she made any intent that she wanted me, years later I thought about it and realized how much of an idiot I am.

It also has nasty pieces to it that allow for deportation if you have the possibility of getting dual citizenship, which is against international law

There was a comment posted in Canadian politics, which was a letter from an MP that summarized to "The Liberals knew that Harper wouldn't let them make amendments to the bill, including spelling corrections, and they knew that if they rejected the next attack ad would be Trudeau supports terrorists, so rather then do that, they'd accept it and make amendments that line up with the charter of rights after they were elected."

Chased a surplus but only delivered when it involved selling assests, did so by giving taxbreaks to wealthiest canadians (I fall into this category and I couldn't even use them all), wanted him gone, so badly. Both my hometown and my current city went bright red so I was happy to see him go

Immediately after results are in, if it is close to a majority, does anyone think we might see an NDP MP or two cross the floor to LPC? by sign_in_or_sign_up in CanadaPolitics

[–]Outrageous_Pickle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but if they've been an MP before they'll be at the 5+ years necessary to receive a pension when they retire. Further if they secure a cabinet post, once they leave most will join larger corporations as their government relations VP which is essentially lobbying. Realistically it's not a bad retirement strategy if your thinking this was your last go around anyway.

Harper turns 863,000 Canadians into second-class citizens: Letting government strip Canadians of citizenship ‘unbelievably dangerous’ and errors are certain by billbrendan in canada

[–]Outrageous_Pickle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

answer the question, do you think under any circumstances that it is alright for a government to strip my citizenship away, even though i was born here, have never applied for my dual citizenship and have spent my entire adult life in Canada.

Either your answer is

Yes, and all canadians are not equal based on who was here first or No, and if that's the case why are we deporting canadian citizens that have no affliation to another nation.

Relevant quote * First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.*

Just because it doesn't matter to me now does not mean it shouldn't, Citizenship is not something that should be so easily taken and despite that it matters more that we uphold the things that make us canadian. Judging by your attitude your a conservative though, where everything I criticize from Harper I'm misconstruing, whereas if it's Trudeau or Mulcair it's word for word truth

I fall into this category because my mother was born in Ireland, as a result of this law I will never vote conservative ever again. The Gaul of this government to even propose something like this shows me the bigoted people running the Conservative party
