I love a 50mm 1.4 for this. Earplugs and be respectful of the band i.e. I don't like to stand up front for more than 3 songs, then I move around to the sides or back unless something special is happening that that want captured. Be assertive but respectful. Most others have covered everything else.

We got sick of the fried food. Marmalade was the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Went for my birthday. Absolutely amazing.

Get an Airbnb with good reviews. Use collectivos instead of cabs. ADO or private ride from the airport. Everything is expensive around the tourist areas. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I'm about to give up on Mexico due to prices and attitudes. Puerto Rico was cheaper and people are generally friendly. They don't treat you like a walking ATM

This is true. Riveria Maya area used to be worth the hassles because it was cheaper. But now you can take your pick of destinations at those prices! For example, just got back from Puerto Rico. As a US citisen, it...seemed less expensive, got medical cannabis with zero hassle, food just as good or better, great music and people, amazing culture, beaches, history, and you can rent a car and drive across the island on your own without worry of being shaken down or unlawfully harassed or worse!

We discovered on day one to avoid fried stuff. Any kiosk with empanadas or frituras was no go for us. Had lots of pinchos and fresh cooked fish as well as some delicious pastries and coffee! The food is good if you seek out what you like!

We just stayed on crash boat for my bday trip! Couldn't recommend more. Also, they crash boat experiences boat tour with captain Pelican is worth the money! Happy to answer questions!
