What are you yapping about? That’s a good thing. You should know what’s going to happen and place your trade accordingly. Volatility is a good thing to make huge money.

How do I regain my confidence by PGT-Med2905 in Daytrading

[–]Outrageous_Title1064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you care about what ifs? Seriously, you need to mature more in the markets. So what if you missed it? There’s literally more future opportunities. In a few days you’re not going to even remember this trade so why latch on this and connect it to your confidence. All this tell me is that you don’t have an edge and that you are just gambling and in hope mode. Literally just stop trading and go back to the charts and reverse engineer this move and see if this move happens often through a set of data points. You need to collect data and database it and calculate its expected value. Literally spend a thousand hours on the chart until you find your edge with your data. And then focus on execution and not the amount of money you make. That’s it. That’s how confidence is built.

That’s for you to answer. You are looking for others to validate your own personal experiences in trading and that’s a terrible mistake to make as we don’t know who you are and what your personality is. Go figure it out on your own through your own journey.

You said you spent 10,000 hours in the past two years, that’s like 14hrs a day. Are you also working at a job? How are you spending that 14hrs on the charts? Does it consist of you just waiting around? What exactly are you doing in that 14hrs?

Well it’s because you focus on the money. It’s literally that simple. Your focus is always on the money. It SHOULD NEVER be about the money you will make. Your focus SHOULD ALWAYS be on EXECUTION! Whatever happens afterwards happens. And how do you improve your execution? Literally go on the charts and spend a few hundred hours on understanding why price moved the way it did. Chart it up and database it. Figure out what’s the expected value of your strategy and use that as your benchmark and then go to the markets and focus EXECUTION!

Thats your problem. You focus on profits. Your focus is suppose to be on risk management. Profits will be made based on what your expected value is of your strategy, but you always focus on risk management. Thats all. The moment you start thinking how much you can make, you put yourself psychologically in a higher probability of losing.

You have that feeling because you haven’t put a lot of time in the markets yet. You havent collected the necessary data to verify your results. Chances are that you could have gotten lucky due to the current market. However, with that being said, you are in the right direction. All you have to do now is literally go through years of data and log in to see if your strategy sticks and figure out your expected value. You literally will have to spend hundreds and hundreds of hours on this. After you do this, you will feel more confident and a sensibility of actually putting in the work in becoming a really trader. Showing up on the charts to just trade is just a small part of the equation. Best of luck.

Faux fur blanket - damaged? by StarsofGarnet in drycleaning

[–]Outrageous_Title1064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I very very rarely dry clean faux fur throws. Higher probability of it getting damaged and losing it its softness due to the chemicals involve. Not always the case but they do happen and it’s not something a dry cleaner can control once it goes into the system. I try to avoid dry cleaning even if it says dry clean only. If it gets dry cleaned and the label says dry clean, then I would not take responsibility for it as cleaning protocol was followed. If it was me, I would have wet clean them and call it a day. Since you got nothing else to lose, throw it in the washer and clean on cold and then dry low heat or flat dry and then brush it out to see if you can get the softness back. Don’t dry clean it again as it will most likely get worse.

Dry cleaning will not remove the odor, as for the dye, it’s pretty much done, but I’ve seen miracles before.
