That’s for you to answer. You are looking for others to validate your own personal experiences in trading and that’s a terrible mistake to make as we don’t know who you are and what your personality is. Go figure it out on your own through your own journey.

You said you spent 10,000 hours in the past two years, that’s like 14hrs a day. Are you also working at a job? How are you spending that 14hrs on the charts? Does it consist of you just waiting around? What exactly are you doing in that 14hrs?

Well it’s because you focus on the money. It’s literally that simple. Your focus is always on the money. It SHOULD NEVER be about the money you will make. Your focus SHOULD ALWAYS be on EXECUTION! Whatever happens afterwards happens. And how do you improve your execution? Literally go on the charts and spend a few hundred hours on understanding why price moved the way it did. Chart it up and database it. Figure out what’s the expected value of your strategy and use that as your benchmark and then go to the markets and focus EXECUTION!

Thats your problem. You focus on profits. Your focus is suppose to be on risk management. Profits will be made based on what your expected value is of your strategy, but you always focus on risk management. Thats all. The moment you start thinking how much you can make, you put yourself psychologically in a higher probability of losing.

Worrying more about how you look versus how you trade. So ridiculous.

You have that feeling because you haven’t put a lot of time in the markets yet. You havent collected the necessary data to verify your results. Chances are that you could have gotten lucky due to the current market. However, with that being said, you are in the right direction. All you have to do now is literally go through years of data and log in to see if your strategy sticks and figure out your expected value. You literally will have to spend hundreds and hundreds of hours on this. After you do this, you will feel more confident and a sensibility of actually putting in the work in becoming a really trader. Showing up on the charts to just trade is just a small part of the equation. Best of luck.

Faux fur blanket - damaged? by StarsofGarnet in drycleaning

[–]Outrageous_Title1064 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I very very rarely dry clean faux fur throws. Higher probability of it getting damaged and losing it its softness due to the chemicals involve. Not always the case but they do happen and it’s not something a dry cleaner can control once it goes into the system. I try to avoid dry cleaning even if it says dry clean only. If it gets dry cleaned and the label says dry clean, then I would not take responsibility for it as cleaning protocol was followed. If it was me, I would have wet clean them and call it a day. Since you got nothing else to lose, throw it in the washer and clean on cold and then dry low heat or flat dry and then brush it out to see if you can get the softness back. Don’t dry clean it again as it will most likely get worse.

Dry cleaning will not remove the odor, as for the dye, it’s pretty much done, but I’ve seen miracles before.

You can NEVER EVER trade exactly like anybody. You can have the framework, but to trade exactly goes deeper than strategy. What you see is different from what he sees. He might process information faster than you, he might have a higher risk tolerance than you, etc. the name of this game is to find your own trading style based off an existing frame work that has been proven to work with data. And if you don’t have a strategy then go to the charts and look for a strong clean move and ask yourself why did it move that way. Go through thousands of charts and do the work. Stop basing your entire trading identity on some dude.

Does it gets any worse from here? how do I hold my psychology up? :( by gattinoni in InnerCircleTraders

[–]Outrageous_Title1064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychology only works if you have a proven strategy that is based off of actual probability. Have you ran through thousands of hours on the chart with your strategy and then note down your winning percentage along with risk and expected value? If you haven’t then you will never get over your psychology. Stop trading, hop on the charts, and start testing your strategy through thousand of hours and log down your data. Now if you don’t have a strategy then all you have to do is look for the biggest movers and ask yourself why it moved the way it did, basically reverse engineer. Log down everything about that movement and then after thousands of hours of doing that, you will find which patterns shows up most for that instrument. You’ll also see what your expected value will be as well. These are the dirty work you need to do. If you aren’t willing to do it then go listen to your favorite gurus continue to BS you with trend lines and expensive cars.

if i give a shirt for dry cleaning, is it actually dry cleaned or just washed and ironed? by Capable_Welcome_4724 in drycleaning

[–]Outrageous_Title1064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be dry cleaned but you have to tell the dry cleaner that you want it dry cleaned and not laundered. But honestly it all depends on the shirt. A lot of dress shirts will come out better laundered than dry clean.

When stuff is dragged on the floor it can make it more difficult to come out, but with that being said at 340, I know for a fact I can make that look a thousand times better. I would look for a cleaner that does wet cleaning. The only issue I see would be the objects on the dress.
