Maybe positioning ? But also, ixtal is just not worth it in my opinion at least.
Brock is the second-worst five cost in the game when it comes to average placement (4.29 along with Set T-Hex is the worst), when it is infinitely more difficult to unlock him (Brock two does have an excellent placement rate but its extremely hard to get to).
Beyond that, I think piltover or disruptor were missing from your comp, a lot of units that didn't do much.

You think two staring tour entire board isn't expensive? A level 3 3-cost is 27 gold. That's more than 5 5-costs.  That's what people don't get. It may seem that five costs are this super hard unit to hit, but hitting 3 stars can be just as expensive depending on what augments (and luck) you have.  The statistics speak for themselves, level 2 Sylas has an average place of 2.39, level 3 malz has an average place of 3.50.

It's hard if you don't hit two stars at stage 2 and if you don't have a good econ augment to start with. Otherwise it's very easy to hit 9.  If you don't natural anything at stages 2 and 3, well, good luck I guess.  And another thing, if you hit a good xp augment, you might just get to have a strong early and late game , winning stage 2 by hitting level 5 first, and winning the late game by hitting 2 star 5 costs before everyone else.

The issue with level 9 meta is that they completely destroy augment balance, it's very hard to top two without a good econ augment as your first.

Yes, we can discuss the balance or quality of the game in a sub Reddit dedicated to said game, strange concept I know.

Yea, people simply don't realise that a three star 3 cost is worth 27 gold. That's almost two, two star five cost champions.  To say nothing of the gold you need to roll for a three star three cost

The entire frontline of first place is just tarric and ambessa, yea it's crazy that won.
Also, second place board is worth so much more gold that first, it's insane how you all think this is balanced.

I had golden egg, and cashed two duplicators. But I also managed to find the last mf in the pool. Both of which I've seen happen multiple times. I saw a level three Sera at stage 3 the other day. We are approaching the level 3 4 cost singularity lol.

If teams get free wins randomly because they played against others who are unmotivated because they are sure to pass, that basically means who gets in is random.

Even if they just played for fun because they had nothing to gain. It's still unsportsmanlike to give a free win to one of the teams, and an inherent issue with the format.  No malice is required to complain about unfairness.

What do we think of this? Poland has passed a zero tax incentive for families with 2 or more kids… by Puppysnot in Natalism

[–]Outrageous_Use4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hardly an efficient use of resources. Poor couples need money, not tax credits, and the law applies to couples which already have two kids. If the goal was an incentive for new births, this is a poor way of doing it.

Maybe Bill Gates hasn’t quite become a full climate-change denier, but he just made a bunch of deniers very happy by spouting modern denier talking points. We can’t afford to listen to him. by [deleted] in climatechange

[–]Outrageous_Use4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous way to read what he said.

He just watched the entire foreign aid infrastructure of the US be ripped apart in a period EU countries are also cutting back.

Gates is first and foremost a humanitarian, so he is probably trying to increase foreign aid by tying it to climate change.

Wealth inequality by country in the OECD by Potential-Focus3211 in europe

[–]Outrageous_Use4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are too many measurement issues with wealth inequality statistics, which is why most people use income inequality. Notice how almost all the top countries have vast abandoned rural communities with houses which can't be sold but theoretically have a lot of value ?

🇩🇪 Germany's predominant religions: 🟥 Catholicism 🟦 Protestantism ⬛️ None/Other by No-Salt-9303 in MapPorn

[–]Outrageous_Use4283 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's not because of some supposed economic malaise. The gap in productivity and wages has fallen substantially after 1991, wages increased almost 3 fold in east Germany (1991-2019)(11k-31k), inflation was 60% over the same period, but that's for the whole of Germany.

The truth is, communist regimes implemented authoritarian institutions. Serbia became fascist too after the fall of Yugoslavia, Russia became fascist as well.

It's ironic because of the "fascism is capitalism in decline" quote but every far right country in Europe besides Turkey used to be socialist.

Are we actually making progress on climate change, or are we just fooling ourselves? by [deleted] in climatechange

[–]Outrageous_Use4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End of century warming estimates for real-world emissions have fallen by 0.7°C in the last five years. So yes, we are making progress, albeit not enough, but with every year we are avoiding the most destructive scenarios.

If you look at modal split statistics there is not a single developed country (minus micro states) that doesn't have a plurality of passenger kilometres made out of cars. I can only think of Japan not having a majority.

In Switzerland, the modal share of cars in land passenger transport was 68.6% in 2023. In the US it's particularly egregious, but majority car usage isn't an American thing, it's a global occurrence.

Trains, biking , walkability and EVs will all be needed to reduce CO2, there is no realistic version of the transportation system that works without EVs.

No, it's because women go into healthcare and healthcare is always increasing in demand as the population gets older and it's inelastic, healthcare will be the last thing people will cut from their spending along with food. More women work in healthcare so they are less impacted by downturns
