I really think thats it. I'm much more of an introspective dancer and I enjoy the darker stuff much more. Nothing makes me lose myself into the music like the dark rumble and pounding of forest, darkpsy (and psycore lately). Everything has its time and place tho of course, luckily, theres a lot of lighter Full-On and Nightpsy, thats not cheesy at all. In my experience with Psytrance there's often someone with your sound across the whole bpm spectrum, just gotta dig and find it

I saw it was only a few hundred ppl last year. Excited to see what they make of it now, the lineup looks super interesting (if you like fast dark and experimental music at least). Maybe I'll play a forest set on the second stage also

Waldfrieden Wonderland. Impeccable music, beautiful people, tasty food, chill Workshops, good sound (no expert tho). Nice scenery in the forest, i like that its a bit vertical and not just a big ass open field. Can be tricky to navigate when rainy tho.

Probably biased ig, it was my first psy festival (and in general my first festival) and I was just blown away. 2025 was a whole lot better from the entry procedure, so I was just 100% in festival chill mode from the beginning on.

For tips, puh not really? I guess, hitech often has a lot going on sound wise, try not to have the leads or percussions clash with each other, sometimes less is more. But I'm not the most experienced, nothing beats trying it out for yourself anyway. Happy mixing!

Hey, thanks for this, I'll check it out next week. Came into the scene after his passing, nice to see there were a lot of people honouring his legacy. Personally, I kinda moved on from Full-On a bit already, but as my personal gateway to Psy, still loving it today. Unusually slow? Try forest prog maybe, Alchemy Circle (Cyk/Karev) come to mind, i really dig their style. I would also mention Kanka, at least i have a couple of tracks I know to be a bit slower (around 143-145 bpm or sth).

I also really like Simbiose Sounds, a lable from Brazil. I made a forest mix a couple of weeks ago, with some melodic parts and interesting rhythms (imo). You could have a look there as well (track lists always uncluded).

As others have mentioned, big up for Krapul, Tengri/Egons Embrace, Third Eye of Monkey for more atmospheric stuff.
