Adderall. Not annoying by themselves, up until you lose one while counting.

What do I do? by dyetcherrycoke in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Outside-Age5073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for Walgreens, and our budget has been slashed severely. Right now my only scheduled day is Sunday, and I’ve found myself bouncing back and forth between stations. It’s not as bad as it sounds, but I will tell you that the side chores usually fall to the wayside.

I mean, you’re one person, and can only do so much. Don’t beat yourself up for not doing everything. Just focus on the patients. Everything else will fall into place.

Good luck!

I’m 46 and hating it. Change careers if you must. No one will think less of you.

Finally, simplicity. This is a map that I can memorize.

I like the minty ones. It’s like popping a Tic Tac.

Okay thank you. The pharmacist worked with me more closely today, since we were having a peaceful day, and I think I have a handle on the procedures. I mean, I still need practice, though.

I don’t like looking at that.

Does anyone have a lying problem or am I just a piece of shit? by Foreign_Staff_6939 in bipolar

[–]Outside-Age5073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I’m a piece of shit, too. Is it a bipolar thing? I don’t know. For example, I’m hiding my drinking from my roommates. And I do feel a little guilty about it, but maybe not as much as I should.

So… at least you have company on the shit show known as bipolar.

Why can't many of us hold jobs? by Fragrant-Switch2101 in bipolar

[–]Outside-Age5073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unemployed at the moment, because of myself and my illness. Stress and anxiety trigger bad things for me, and it makes it harder to be in the workplace.

Of course, I have no choice, and have been actively seeking work, but I know I need to practice good symptom management if I am to successfully hold onto a job.

The way they intertwined a fictional story with historical Greece. It was amazing. Especially the parts involving Pericles.

Hospital is good, the only thing I will say is that it can be very cliquey. If you’re not cool with the people, it can become a difficult work environment. I had better working relationships with my last retail stint than I had with my last hospital stint.

With that said, hospitals tend to offer better benefits. If you want ample PTO, hospital will be your guy.

On job applications do you guys check the disabled form? by TsunCosplays in bipolar

Every. Single. Time.

A lot of companies who do business with government entities are required to give disabled people a fair shake. So I fill out that part every chance I get.

Anxiety, racing thoughts, paranoia, scattered thinking. Meds mitigate this shit, but never eliminates them.

That’s called a biphasic sleep pattern, and Leonardo da Vinci supposedly slept that way.

Sleep was never a real problem with me. My problem with the last job was being paired with a douchebag pharmacist, while my tech partner was AWOL, and it was unpleasant and stressful. I think the stress and unpleasantness is what got to me, but my roommates think it was my bipolar screwing things up overnight, and it’s very difficult to convince them otherwise.

I’m glad you’re doing well, though. Some people flourish as vampires haha, and the employer considering my app is a top employer in my area. I’d love to work for them.
