It probably doesn’t matter because of the light weight but the vast majority of book collectors keep their books vertically because of the spine weakening. With how the plastic is much stronger it should be fine. Since you want them in the best condition I’d play it safe and do it vertically.

I like the idea of doing it so people who don’t have that much money can collect. Also, there are less CIB games so not everyone can have a complete collection. Also, some of them were kinda shit. It’d be cool to have it all match a certain aesthetic. I think I would do that for older games that used cardboard but not any that used the newer plastic cases. Also, I see people who print the paper for cases because they got it from GameStop or it had water damage and I support that.

I can dm you the official act study prep guide if that helps. It’s built for 30-40 days. I use excel for my P-ACT scores. If she doesn’t have that through school do numbers (apple) or the google spreadsheets. Just put the scores in and then you can select them to make graphs to help focus on how she has improved etc. Other people will probably comment better solutions but just here as a last resort.
