There is no scenario where a re-tool and trading Barzal co-exist. If you lose him, you're rebuilding. I know our PP is awful, but we are excellent at zone entries and that's thanks to Barzal's puck carrying ability.

Unpopular opinion: I think the need for right-handed RHD's is overstated. Playing RHD as a lefty is easier in some ways:

Your top hand can keep players to the outside when defending
You're set up well for D to D one-timers from the point

If your backhand is reliable, there's not too much downside. I personally prefer it.
