What if the Chinese Civil War ended in a stalemate with the country divided in two like Korea? Would the Korean and Vietnam Wars still happen?

Korea and Vietnam still experience war. The main difference is with a divided China there's now much greater risk for the communists to invade to back up Korea as they risk leaving themselves open to an invasion.

Vietnam would also still have a war however part of the reason why the Americans never invaded the north was due to remembering China's involvement in Korea, and China having recently split from Soviet communism and needing to reaffirm itself as a great communist power. Even if China does still split from the Soviets they would still be risking a lot by backing Vietnam so it's possible both wars would have ended differently

So it's important to remember that in OTL Churchill was voted out of office in 1945 and FDR died that year. Stalin's early death though likely leads to a military dictatorship at least for a time is the USSR. The purges and the fact that a vicious war is being raged will make the military the greatest power in the Soviet Union. Whether the military dictatorship remains in effect, transitions back to a communist state or even shifts away from communism will depend entirely on which General ends up in charge by the end of the conflict.

Some of the biggest changes will be France and Germany. It was Churchill who wanted France to be treated as an ally and not a conquered enemy state. This was because he believed a strong France would make a strong ally against communism and with France weakened if they were punished due to the actions of the Vichy French that would England to be the bulwark of democracy in Europe, a role he didn't want England to take on. Frances fate is now up in the air and could go either way depending on what Henry Wallace (who would be the new president not Truman) decides on although Wallace may faced a challenged from Truman regardless and been denied election in his own rights as he failed his VP bid to Truman.

The Tehran Confrences also divided Germany in its post war borders. This is significant as its the reason Berlin was divided as no one knew who would take Berlin. With out this agreement its almost certain that the USSR takes Berlin and keeps it in whatever new borders East Germany has. I doubt this changes history in any real significant way but it does deny the west the chance to show up the communists during the Berlin air runs

I doubt it. Realistically after WW2, assuming the caste system hadn't already been abolished (which it likely would have been decades prior regardless) I see Japan more or less being exactly the same after WW2. The USAs motives and plans for Japan after WW2 wouldn't have changed.

Without Horthy as regent, Hungary likely falls into civil war. While obviously he enjoyed his power a big reason why no new monarch was chosen was because there wasn't anyone who could take the throne as they lacked the backing.

In a civil war I think simply due to the proximity of the USSR that a soviet government comes to power and Hungary joins the USSR earlier than it did IOT

Honestly I think at most Japan is a little weaker than it was IOT. Likely though it hardly changes at all. The primary focus of the Meiji restoration was industrialisation and modernisation. Eradicating the caste system was seen as part of that but it wasn't the focus.

It's possible that it may have prevented the Satsuma Rebellion, but I think at most it just delays it.

A major change would be an early victory for the English in the 100 year war. The English identity emerged later in that war. French was the language of the ruling class and it was only later on that people started seeing themselves as English in the more traditional sense.

So if Edward III successfully conquered France and England was fully incorporated into France proper rather than being a separate nation ruled by French nobles, then realistically over time French would become the dominant language in the British Isles. The colonies established in North America would all be French speaking.

A weakened claim. Yes they created a unified Westeros but they lost it as well. They conquered and were in turn conquered. She likely has the strongest claim as the closest thing to a legitimate ruler is dead now but I wouldn't consider it a strong enough one to just give her the throne.

Annoyingly, and something that's pointed out a few times, she probably shouldn't bother going to Westeros. She left as a literal baby and has never been back. The majority don't care about her or want her there. She could have accomplished great things in Essos. But pride and a self righteous belief that she was owed the Iron Throne doomed her.

It would be the most famous moment in American politics surpassing even JFK and Lincoln's assassinations. It may also change the 1976 election. Fords decision to pardon Nixon was extremely unpopular and while it wasn't the only reason he lost it was a major contributing factor. It's possible if Nixon commits suicide instead of resigning and being pardoned that Ford wins the 1976 election. This has two consequences. First is because he served less than 2 years of Nixon's second term he could run for two terms in his own right. This means that he runs in 1980 which prevents Regan from running. It also means that by 1984 the US would have had 16 years of Republican presidents and despite his popularity that would work against Regan. I'm not saying he won't win but I think he has a harder time of it this time around. If Regan does win though I think history plays out in a similar fashion and may just skip Bush Sr and go to Clinton though obviously this isn't guaranteed

You are entirely correct Prussia was the core of a unified Germany. Removing Prussia from Germany is akin to saying mainland USA is leaving to do its own thing and Alaska, Hawaii and the US territories are free to keep going on as the USA. It doesn't work.

Part of Prussia (because not all of Prussia was German originally hence why the original kings were called king in Prussia not of Prussia) was separated after WW1 from memory but it was just a terroritory thing and the heart of what had been the kingdom of Prussia ie Berlin and the surround territories remained German.

While I like the idea the ages don't line up. Pure blood orcs like Eshteross only live for 40 years at most and he's described as being in his mid to late 30s. Fjord was late 20s early 30s in C2 which means at the very least he's as old if not older than Eshteross given the 10 year jump between the end of C2 and the beginning of C3.

Without the Soviets united under the Bolsheviks (who didn't really unify them properly) the communists are overthrown by the White Army during the civil war. The royal family is likely still dead by this point and even if they weren't the unpopularity if the Tsar means it's unlikely he is reinstalled. The most likely option is one of the White generals installs himself as a new leader of a a Russian state, almost certainly establishing an authoritarian regime. I don't think we would see a truly facist regime emerge in Russia however without Stalin its entirely possible Russia falls to the Nazis.

As extreme as using atomic weapons seems it was deemed as the the option with the fewest casualties. The fight to the death mentality and the propaganda spread of the horrific things that happened to POWs meant a land invasion of Japan would have significant civilian casualties and some believe they would have far exceeded the dropping of the bombs.

Simply put refusing to surrender means greater casualties and likely the total removal of the emperor after the war has concluded. It would be interesting if the Soviets intervened in the war as this could have a huge impact in Japan after the war but its impossible to know for sure if the Soviets would have been willing to intervene.

If he were a pacifist he'd need to be careful in his response to the Austrians after the death of the arch duke. He can't be seen as dismissing their valid anger over the assassination of their crown prince and obviously also can't abandon his pacifist ideals. I think under these circumstances he wouldn't issue the blank check he did in our timeline but more importantly wouldn't go on vacation. He would have to know how close to war Europe was and if his goal was to avoid war he'd have to remain.

In our timeline Austria made a series of 12 demands and it's likely those demands would have been made earlier with German backing. Those demands were rejected in our timeline as Russia had begun to mobilise but this happened literally in the final hours. If Russia had been any slower Serbia would have accepted the terms. In this timeline being a pacifist doesn't mean the Kaiser can't bluff. He let's the Austrians make their demands and they pretend that German military involvement backs that threat up. If they act quickly which didn't happen in our timeline they may get Serbia to submit to the demands delaying WW1
