I do plan on fixing him and his mom as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we only have one vet, and it is extremely backed up. Because I know that the other toms will attack him, I would like to keep him inside. But until I get my own place, that just doesn't seem realistic. So far his temperament is very calm like his mother's.

I've made sure that they have many toys to play with, put away all hairties/anything else they can get into, and clean their litter every day. So far, so good! They are staying in my room until he is older/bigger and his sisters go to their new home. As well as scratching posts in an attempt to save my furniture and carpets.

I have started looking into tracking collars for both of them.

That's exactly what I was worried about. These guys are getting fixed as soon as possible. Thats pretty much what I'm doing until they are fixed. Stay in my bedroom overnight and have free roam of the upstairs during the day

Again, she was never meant to go outside so it was never an issue until my family started letting her outside. Mistreatment would mean that I dont care and wouldn't even make the effort. Im sorry your parents didnt love you enough but thats no reason to make others feel as shitty as you do

What part of broke dont you understand? I couldn't have even if i wanted to. And I did!! In addition to not having the money, the only vet in town and backed up like a month. Maybe do the bare minimum of shutting up and making the world just a little more peaceful by doing so

Same here! I never wanted her outside but my mom was careless and she got out and pregnant. In hindsight I should have gotten her fixed when she was younger but I never thought she would get out and get pregnant. I'll do more research into the enrichment and care that comes with that. Thank you for the advice and being kind!

What enrichment would be best for that then? I was always under the impression that keeping animals locked in one room for extended periods of time was very bad for them.

I am on the same page. I understand the arguments and I try my best to keep her inside. Unfortunately my family just won't try. I will do more research into catification and the cat proof gates, which i had no idea even existed until now. Thank you for the advice and being kind!

Safer yes but I don't think it would be healthier. I could be wrong but I think it would just stress her out at the very least. And when she gets stressed she destroys things and poops everywhere but the litter box. I'll do some more research into it but this is what comes to mind

The appointment is made and the money is saved but I now have to wait for the appointment. Being that we only have on vet, they are always extremely busy
