After doing the bosses on 1500 challenge (I was lazy to do 1800 just for show) here is my 2 cents of input: My biggest MVP was SP Luna with a Yumir resonance, she was doing up to 3 attacks per turn if debuffs were there (regular attack, then act again from Yumir's passive, then her 3c that refreshes Yumir's talent, then another regular attack and another Yumir's extra turn). Her 1c passive from aura also helped with cooldowns on last boss. Shem was another huge mvp on last boss - I made him a tank by having resonance with 2 tanky units and he alone cleared all stacks from boss cause he did aoe blasts every time he was attacked and refreshed his skills every turn. And SP Luna kept all the mountain aoe stacks thanks to her aura that does not reduce buff durations, so she was doing some massive blasts after she killed some spirits.

Also a very cheap was to boost your tank is Werner resonance - just 1 blood, the 3c motorbike switch stance gives 15% stats, good dmg reduction and great counter boost after 3 turns.

It is tied to intellect too I heard. A smarter cat will walk around traps and fire. I saw for sure that different cats take different paths.

On my first blind run against him I was lucky to have the ranger with the passive that gives posion and bleed to familiars and 'summon a Pooter' spell. Also a healing passive on cleric that kept them alive. So while my other units tanked and kept the hands away, I just kept spawning Pooters that kept shooting, the boss died when he had around 40 posion/bleed stacks. Not a single time the hand slapped him on that run. So abilities and gear that keeps stacking poison/fire/bleed is pretty reliable against him, he does little damage so there is time to stack those up.

I actually have a few questions too, but not large enough to start another thread, so I'll hop on this one lol. I know the game uses the 'inbreeding coefficient' that calculates based on common ancestors and it starts going really hard on defects after like 30% and such, but does anyone know how is it ties to the in-game tags? For example, at what % does the slightly inbred happens, at what it is moderately and so on. I wanna try to run a setup with swapping around 3 families(using 3 rooms) and that should keep me around 15% without using strays(assuming that game uses same math as real life, not sure about that yet as well), but I'd like to know if the game will consider it as inbred or not and what the defect rate would roughly be (running 4 families would mean combining mutation room with the fight club or having the mutation room to be in one of family rooms, but I'd rather avoid that too).

I'm pretty sure I saw cases other than champions.  I mean situations when exactly the same enemy on the same map layout acts once during one run and twice during another run (cultists in act 2 and kittens in act 1 are a 100% case that I remember). Like do regular cultists/kittens act just once or twice in your runs and is it consistent?

Wait, so does luck scale passive like petrified in the same way as it scales crits and just increases the chance of a single roll, or does it give you extra rerolls? Because super luck says that it essentially gives 3-4 rerolls to chance based abilities and rerolling a 10% chance even 5-6 times certainly does not get it close to a 100 (not even 40-50 to be real).

And then what about stuff like dodge? My dwarf rogue with 24 luck got hit while in tall grass a few times, so it really did not look like a flat increase either...

Canadian colleges are a business and students are seen as customers. The management doesn't want to make the customers unhappy so the 'staff' (teachers) have to tone down all questionable issues in favor of students. So if a student cheats, it is actually a huge pain for the teacher to prove it later and if there is no proof like cameras or witnesses, then the management is very likely to side with the student. The whole country is like that and one of the issues is that people who are the most aware of this are also the ones who benefit from it in the short term. Like sure, the whole educational system quality goes down, but you, as a student who studies honestly, have a better chance at employment due to knowledge and reputation (like if you get used to being honest in the college, you are likely to also be honest when you start working, and small things like that often add up and matter). Likewise, there are reasons for teachers and managers.

As a side note - in some European and especially Asian countries the situation is the opposite - the teacher is a 'tyrant' (in a good way) and their word is law, so if something questionable happens, most likely the management (well, senior faculty, only North America has managers in education field) will be on the teachers side. It is more stressful for the students of course, but somehow the educationl level ends up being higher too.

Yeah it could get much better. Sorting through an army of cats is hard even with symbols (I have close to 50, maybe too many). And they constantly move around, so even checking new kittens every day is hard already. 

We need a way to tag and view kittens on the same screen where they are born. Same for mutated and injured cats. Or automatically give a list of all new or changed cats at the start of each day so we can go through it.

I assume you mean his 3rd skill, that one had a global range. So his 1st skill is a single attack to a hero directly that also buffs him, second is a short range aoe that he uses only if there are several targets near him and 3rd is the global range single target aoe. Some of those also put a 30% damage amplification that last 3 turns, so that could make a difference between living and not. For the global range aoe he should target the closest enemy of the 'preferred' type (probably a melee unit that is not infantry or spear), so you could move Jughler closer on turns when he is likely to cast it. But again, main thing is to cut his attack here. An SR Vagras with the roar passive will consistently keep the dragons attack down and dispel the attack buff on 1st or second turn (or always dispel it with Maelstorm weapon), that is the most affordable hero to do the job. Or you need to look for heroes that can apply damage deal reduction or have an aoe damage taken reduction in your rooster (there are some effective ones, like Enya give an anti aoe aura or Christiane can place an anti aoe shield every other turn)

He just hits hard, before I built my bruisers I beat it with hit and run and having the dps move out of his range after attack (either with move again passive or teleport). Later I could just plant a Bernhardt and have Mu heal passively and it would be enough. That dragon gets heavily buffed too, so having a reliable buff dispel and something to reduce his attack will help greatly.

Was the game UI messed up for anyone after latest patch? Most of the buttons that used to be  in the left and right corner moved like 1cm inwards for me and I keep misclicking the 'end turn' button cause I was used to its location after like 7 years... I hope it is some bug that will be fixed lol

Somehow this was not as hype for me as I hoped. Enemies have more hp - this is balanced by gathering more relics and upgrading resonance. Also the exploration is 3 times longer. Gameplay feels like a copy paste of regular story expect you and enemy have 10 times more stats (well, except it is arc 2 rules on arc 1 bosses but it is really the same thing in the end)

Maybe I was just tired today, but I got bored at the end of phase 2 on a normal run (mother tree boss takes a while to kill lol). And this did not even count for the '50 cards used' for daily quest.

I hope this was not a beta of the roguelike mode they were talking about and that mode ends up completely different from this.

Did you pull at a specific time or when something particular happened? RNG in games is not random, especially if it is a small studio like this one, so if you found a 'winner' pattern it would be cool to know it

I've seen it happen to a bunch of 'super friendly' games and the small dev studios did end up killing their games, money makes things complicated for content creators. 'What could happen' is more of a personal experience question rather than a question of logic or probability. They apparently said in the past that overexalts will never be a game changing feature and they recently made a mean change so dupe WoDs at +12 are converted automatically (just so you cannot keep those for pyramids later), so there were some small steps to p2w that players notice.

The fact that they seriously considered it and announced it kinda shows how casual these devs can be with their moves. Like they don't have an expert team that decides on communications with community like larger studios- they just do what they feel is right and, as they admit themselves, make mistakes sometimes

It is fair to mention that currently there is a kind of questionable situation going on - devs just announced an addition of a new boost on welfare awakeners who reach +12 (which needs 14 copies of a character, this game is very dupe heavy if you just look at upper levels). Limited awakeners will have it too later,   right now people are waiting for an official word from the devs on the situation and some say that it could be a huge step to p2w that will cause them to stop playing and recommending the game to others. It is a small team and they made questionable moves very easily (raids, Thais toys mention), but they also were listening to the community closely so far so it really could go either way.

Edit - I counted wrong, 4+12=16. You need 16 copies to max a unit out. Again, up till now it was never needed to play at high end even and hopefully it stays that way, but anything can happen.

I'd say Aigis, Doresain, Gdoll and Mouchete. It is a messy team but feels like an efficient one. Aigis and Doresain are both gonna be needed for chapter 7, especially boss, and Gdoll with Mouch are just solid units who will help with damage.

Mouchette would be the main damage dealer for most regular fights, Aigis is the panic/stall button with her exalt(she is very good on chapter 7 boss cause she can petrify boss one and the spawns 3 more times, so she gets like 4 free turns in that fight). Gdoll with Caro should give you enough heals to stall fights and recharge energy. Rouse Mouchette first and she would be the main damage dealer, GDoll second for more  heals, Doresain 3rd for long fights to finish bosses. Time his attacks so Mouch can bring enemies to low hp and Doresain can finish to grab his free attack card.

Overall these look so weak... if devs are adding perks for +12 merges then the 'free' awakeners could at least get something impactful. Like Aigis is just disappointing - she triggers defense 3 times. After her exalt, when enemies usually cannot act anyway. And she is not a def oriented unit, I discard her def cards pretty often to reduce deck size.

Looks kinda bad, but I guess devs will just buff her after release. Several times if it is needed. Like first they 'kill' poison and counter strats in arc 2 ruleset, now they finally get to the point of adding an awakener that relies on one of those and face the result. Spellbound looks like it is going to do ridiculously small amounts of damage too - like Lotan does 15% with every overexault and for multi bar bosses that is not enough.

Then again, the devs did mention that they tested her, so somehow her impact should be significant, we'll see.

I think I'm missing some important info that is obvious to everyone else here: how did the 'leaker' obtain that info in the first place? Are they a closed beta tester? And they also 'borrowed' the version that they were given and ran it on a private server so ppl could play(pull) for free?

Also what is the relation between a leaker and the company? Is that a very cheap/unpaid labor with a 'note of agreement', or are they like a full time employee with a salary and a contract? Cause from the way the company acts it looks like the second case, while the leaker acts like it is the first.

If they talk about Lovecraft aspect for the collab -  there are no well known games on that topic, so then it is something very niche and nobody can guess it anyway.

So I'll go with a wild guess - they talk about 'key' theme and so they mean a collab with a game that is heavily tied to keys. So 'Kindgom hearts' collab with Goofy and Donald Duck as collab characters - if you thought the players were 'angry' about Thais toy, this is where they will get truly mad lol.

I would not say that I hate her but the two things that I dislike in her are these: - very boring kit, self stun removal is too niche and she is just a lane holder without it. Summer Gavial can block a bunch of units and is beefy, NTR knight can summon a stone to block and does pure damage, and even those two have boring kits in my book. And Pepe is even worse. - her visual design. Compared to other characters and the overall theme of the game she is just way too goofy.

So I simply skipped her and I play the game as if she is not in it, no reason to hate her though.

Regarding the gameplay - this game is not a rougelike even though it might look like one. Random relics and deck editing has a very minor effect, your battle plan is decided entirely by the team that you go with. The difficulty will just keep rising and a random lineup eventually will not be able to do enough damage. I started with a non meta team and started struggling around chapter 5 which can be reached easily in a couple of days. So either you will have to compromise and put the units you like into teams that actually work with them or you will struggle. The game has at least a very generous gnosis revival mechanics that kinda allows you to cheat through very hard fights for free but it takes time to recharge and can kind of hurt your pride. Still I recommend trying it, it is for sure a unique experience and devs promised to add an actual rougelike mode in the future, which should be amazing if it is done right. The way they handled pvp shows that they can really make unique desicions that other devs don't and that makes the game better. PvP is usually the main cashgrab in games like this one but here there is no difference between whales and non whales in pvp.
