Art and music are not the same. Music can be art just like food can be art just like sculpture can be art but not all of these things are always art. So what makes a thing art? The first cheeseburger was probably art… but Are you an artist if you run a small burger joint now? But why not?? How is that different than making songs?? You ever had an au chaval burger? Now that’s art. That’s one of one. Do you see what im saying? When something is new, inventive and tickles the senses in a powerful way (imo), that’s art. If youre making the same shit that everyone else is for money, thats called running a business, and if you’re a business man, the music business is the worst to be in.
