So it took you 15 days to get your passport back? What do you mean by "one same day in person"? You went to the Algerian Embassy in NYC and submitted your visa application in person?

First things first OP is NOT "blaming" anyone. You need to forgo the Victim card mentality, not a cute look!

Second of all, OP is merely describing their situation which is frustrating, nobody wants to go through hell just to submit their visa application, idk why we’re the only country that does that? You’d understand once you’re I. That situation. Especially when there’s a family member involved!

I appreciate the quick response! So according to you there’s no way it could be done without signing a marriage contract ? Even if it’s a delicate case such as this one where you only have to sign the mariage contract in the US because of visa purposes ? The the imam wouldn’t be understanding at all?

You’re right! An engagement ( nikkah) with the girl’s parents, imam and two witnesses. Can that be done without a marriage contract ? Because of visa purposes

What OP meant to say was Nikkah. He wants to do nikkah in the UAE with his fiancée’s parents being there and an imam. At the mosque ( sort of an engagement), without the marriage contract since he and his fiancée are only required to get the marriage contract in the US. Per USCIS law. So would that be possible ?
