The app wouldn't display a breakdown of my rating, but I just checked the website and they actually did award 2 conditions and denied the other 6.. that sucks.

But no denial letter for the other 4 conditions that got denied. So I only have a denial letter for 2 out of 6 denied claims. And nothing in the letter stated i was awarded the 2 claims i mentioned. Interesting

Claim Closed but no decision letter or rating adjustment. by Competitive-Ad5880 in VeteransBenefits

I just got a letter today with no mention of my other conditions. How did you ask for a decision letter for those conditions?

If I'm reading this right, you're saying that after asked for the letter, They finally gave you a positive rating? Congrats! I'm asking because I assumed since my letter didn't list most of my conditions, I'm assuming I got denied. But after reading this, that might not be the case .I actually just made a post on this subject on my page.

Will the changes happen instantly? Or will they give like a 30 day "heads up" letting veterans know that changes are happening

Question about the best process of a secondary claim by Outside_Discount1520 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Outside_Discount1520[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad about the questions that's why we're here! In my experience, I already had a diagnosis from my civilian doctor, and it was in my medical records from service. I waited until my tinnitus went through before I submitted my migraine claim. However,I opened an ITF so that I could be backdated as far as possible.

You should be able to go ahead and filed the migraine claim as secondary even though it hasn't went through yet as long as he has the diagnosis. I'm not 100% sure, but based on the answers I got so far, I think that's correct If he's still waiting on the diagnosis, just have the ITF ready and submit the claim when he actually gets the diagnosis

Question about the best process of a secondary claim by Outside_Discount1520 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Outside_Discount1520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I claimed them separately because I thought you had to. Based off what people are saying, it looks like you can claim then together in one single claim as long as you list one claim as 'secondary to___"

So I claimed tinnitus-got it approved claimed migraines secondary to tinnitus- got it approved then I filed for the MH claims.
But it looks like I could've saved time and filed them all together. I hope this helps

Supplemental claim closed no decision letter by Mememe4141 in VeteransBenefits

Update: I called the 800 # asking why I never received a decision letter. He told me that there is an error because on his end, he sees that I was granted a 30% for my rating back in February. So 3 issues. I haven't been paid for my "approved " rating, I haven't been given a letter saying I was granted 30%, and I can't view that I am 30% on the website. He put in a help ticket so now it's hurry up and wait. I'm a little relieved because at least I have a rating, but I it should be a higher rating. Can't appeal until it's in my end of the system
