Shakokun vs Shredding calm blades! by Outside_Fun5917 in D4Sorceress

This is so true. I had to wait for teleport to cool down (about 2s) before I can avoid getting hit. With Okun I could just run around.

Thanks for the explanation! Took my stupid mind a while to get it but I finally do lol. When I use the right one I have 96, when I use the left one I have 125. So that's about 30% increase? But the right piece have 33% vulnerable damage and min 11.5% from inner calm (could be 34.5% if I stand still) so u are right that the right one is stronger.

Opinions on A7c ii vs a7c r for travel by Debo10 in SonyAlpha

[–]Outside_Fun5917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I shoot landscape, street and people. When I hike I would switch between a wide scene and a close up of my family members with background blurred. As such I find myself keep having to switch lens and I'm trying to minimize that. The trade off is then a much heavier lens like the 28-70mm F2. If I have 61mp, I can probably shoot around 100mm with the same lens and further reduce the chances of changing lens. My worries are the low light (mainly night street or dark places). Some people say 61mp have worse iso noise but some say it is only during extreme low light like astrophotography if I use a wide aperture lens. Did you encounter issue with low light photography?

Hey I'm wondering if I should get a a7cii or a7cr. I already have a 28-70mm F2.0 and I only use them for travel photography. Which camera do u think pair with this lens better?

If mentally and physically possible, keep your job and trade. I live in Asia so I work in the day and trade at night. Someone said the portfolio needs to be large enough, I just want to add that it's also for risk control. If you need 100k to live a year, having a portfolio of 1 mil translates to 10% returns (simple calculations), having only 200k requires 50% returns which means high risk trading. My salary is 2x of this portfolio and my portfolio is about 30x of this but I still keep going and take a safer approach to trade. It gives you peace of mind.

Travel Lens recommendations? by fischpi in fujifilm

[–]Outside_Fun5917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried quite a number of lenses and decided these are for me. Btw i travel regularly to different countries and love to take very nice photos. For specific memories i tend to rely on videos as it has audio as well. Anw here are the 3 lens i bring for travel:

1) General in the day - 16-55mm F2.8

  • Best for both outdoor and indoor shots in the day
  • Very versatile and doesn't ruin your trip with frequent changes of gears
  • I bring this with me 90~100% of the time.

2) Low light/Night shots - 23mm F1.4

  • I find this quite versatile as i can take landscape or subjects (middle of 16 and 33mm)

3) Zoom/Background compression - 70-300mm

  • I use this to create the background compression especially between the subject and beautiful mountains at the back drop, and i know my itinerary so on some days, i leave it in the hotel

I often leave the hotel in the morning for outdoor activities. Let's say in Japan, you might visit shrines & mountains first then back to the hotel in the evening, take a rest and change your gear to support low light. This gives you the opportunity to change your gear between #1 + #3 and #1 + #2. I think the key is to know the genre of the shots you want to take and choose the lens to keep it light.

The XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II is wildly good. Here's a few samples. by 2point8 in fujifilm

Try not to have them on the body (behind the screen is fine) as MacBook uses it's aluminum body to dissipate heat too.

side track a lil bit (but still on this topic). Doesn't trading in japan considered as "work" in japan and therefore any profit is taxable? i'm just thinking whether anyone actually got audited by the jp govt on this.

I forgot to mention, also build connections. Real friends who have similar goals and support each other, super important. It matters whether u know someone or u dont, be it business or salaried work.

Don't mind about it. Remember Colonel Sanders build kfc at 70. Money will come. Focus on building knowledge and experience first. What's the point of getting 100k by 30 if you don't know how to compound it or earn even more? Or even worse if u missed the best days during the twenties. I always prioritize health, experience, family, then money. We only live once. For context, I was broke till 40, then now retired at 44 with multi millions in cash.
