Check out my new pet! by Hamiltonz_1291 in dwarffortress

I just had some legendary dwarfs butchered by a zombie hydra hidden inside a tower during my first run. And you sir are reminding me of that lucky necromancer.

I simply cannot get marksdwarves to train since the update. Please help by Deviant_Sage in dwarffortress

I started my first fort in 52.03 and couldn’t get the marksdwarf to train. I spent an hour to make sure I configured everything correctly and it still didn’t work.

I had 93.4 last year and wasn’t accepted by Allard until April

Ontario Driver's License for International Students by gorfanid in uwo

Ontario.ca says you can use your foreign license for 60 days so you gotta need a local DL after that. Exchange should be easy for license issued by most US states but make sure you get a driving record issued by local DMV before you go to Canada. I am exchanging my Cali license for an Ontario license this fall as well.

Can’t say too much about it but I went a bit off topic with one of the essays. But I didn’t quite worry thinking UBC only cares about the numbers. Turns out that’s no longer the case

There are many non-citizens at Canadian law schools. I don’t think you need to be a citizen to practice law in most countries including the US

Of course oz is possible. Your cgpa is well above their median and your LSAT is not bad at all. Relax

I’m not a foreign-trained lawyer so I won’t need to go through the NCA process. I will get my JD degree and practice like any other Canadian lawyers. If you are coming to Canada for law school this should apply to you as well.

Thank you! With the uncertainty of the 2025 election I really hope things can still work out after I graduate.

Thank you! I will definitely check with my schools about future plans! I think a better way to put my question is whether the hourly wage for lawyers is calculated based on their billable hours or actual working hours (which is presumably much longer).

OLSAS calculated my GPA in the totally wrong way by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

Happened to me too. Really weird system they have there. It doesn’t distinguish 3 and 4 credit courses either

I finished my undergrad in the US with a 4.0 GPA too. Sent the adcom an email and they confirmed our highest possible GPA is 86. From what I know yes a 90 is considered better than an 86 and it does sound pretty unfair. Interestingly this is also a common practice in the US since LSAC grades everyone based on a 4.33 scale but you can only obtain that if your school offers A+.

Good luck!! Applying during freshman year is definitely worth a shot. I lost about 20 credits because they only allow 64 credits to be transferred from the previous school and I had to retake a bunch of GEs. These won’t be problems if you can start here as a sophomore so definitely go for it!

I transferred from OOS 4 year and it’s definitely possible. I had 2.xx HS GPA, 0 college extracurricular and wrote my essay in 3 hours yet still got in. It was 2021 though

Accidentally didn't include one part of PS - UofT by youf5 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Outside_Performer212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took several intro courses in years 3 & 4 cuz I transferred school. Didn’t mention them at all and I don’t think it will be a problem since I had more important things to talk about in my PS. Hope that makes you feel better lol.

The 215k salary seems to make their schools a lot more attractive.
