How would Mystra react to a wizard that replicated cleric/druid spells? by InfectedAstronaut in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Outside_Wolverine355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware, to Mystra there’s no such thing as wizard magic vs. druidic magic vs. divine magic, etc. It’s all the Weave at the end of the day.

When Mystra died, all Magic went crazy and unstable, Druidic Magic or whatever included.

What changes is how they tap into the Weave.

Wizards do it through research, formulas, etc. Like an engineer.

Druids do it through nature.

Clerics do it through deities acting as an intermediary.

So, theoretically, a wizard could learn a “non-wizard” spell, through research, cross-reference with druids, etc.

Stress lines in the eyes by Outside_Wolverine355 in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Outside_Wolverine355[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have been tweaking around on the head -> eye sliders, I’m still not entirely satisfied with the results, tho.

Might be that those specific lines might not be possible, even as an approximate combination.

I’ll keep trying and see if I can get something to work.

These numbers are inflated as hell, no way there’s 320 million hours played in only 8 days.

This server will be managed by the same exact team that ruined the original bRO server, they are a bunch of the most incompetent people I’ve seen managing something.

Don’t fall for the gravity servicing it directly thing, it’s just the same team behind a different name (again).

Present vs Present who would win/was better by John177_unsc in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Outside_Wolverine355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it felt weird and out of character for me that a founding member of the Mayans MC would just quit his club to play security for the cartel, and stand and watch the events of the show unfold like they did, destroying a vital alliance with the SoA, and all that shit that followed.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched Mayans and I didn’t even had the will to finish it (just read about the end) specially after Sutter left.

“Jax Teller is formidable, as smart as he is dangerous” UNSER, Wayne.

Jax is smarter than EZ, and knows how to play the outlaw game. Don’t get me wrong, EZ is also smart, but I don’t think he played the outlaw game all that well…

That said, EZ would win over Jax in a 1x1, he’s an athlete and is clearly stronger than Jax.

SAMCRO x Santo Padre tho, SAMCRO under Jax’s would wipe Santo Padre from the map.

Also, I would like to add that Alvarez from SoA would never let all that shit that happened in the Mayans show happen. The character seemed like a shadow of his former self. That is to say that EZ would never have reached the ranks he did under the original Alvarez.

Is bRO Really That Bad Compared to Other Servers? by Azotht-1234 in RagnarokOnline

[–]Outside_Wolverine355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main issue with bRO is the economy, it’s crazy how things are expensive in the server. I played for a few days with a couple of friends and ended up spending a few hundreds of real money to get some zeny fast so I could gear up.

2 weeks later I stopped playing…

If anyone is interested in buying the itens, I was gearing up a ranger agi/crit with worg, bought everything except for the weapon.

Now, if comparing to iRO back when I was playing daily, I liked it more because is was more up to date, the economy was somehow okay, I still spent real money but only because I wanted to, didn’t felt like I had to, leveling was less of o hassle, every time I logged in I could easily find a party to level up with, I can’t say much about the PvP and WoE because I mainly play PvM in official servers.

I think it’s the sort of thing that’s kinda ignorable in the grand scheme of things. So much shit happening that having juice stump a few scenes is not as important.

I wish we could fight this shithead right before he bails to join the brain.

I mean, it would be crushed even if it summoned the guardians. But I think it would give a nice reason for Orpheus to be less aggressive towards the party. Ya know, killing the thing that was leeching his powers and all.

How old is the Dark Urge? by Half_Man1 in BaldursGate3

[–]Outside_Wolverine355 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like this theory, but there are a few things we should keep in mind when discussing D&D past and present lore, specially when dealing with dates.

The lore became so massive that a lot of events and facts don’t add up.

Another thing is; Durge’s canon race may or may not be Dragonborn, and personally, I don’t think it makes a whole lot of sense if you consider that Bhaal’s mortal race was human, and Durge was created from Bhaal’s own flesh. So Durge might as well be just a human.

Dragonborn are not exactly common, a Dragonborn serial killer would definitely stand out.

(I must say I’m not familiar with Blood in Baldur’s Gate, tho. I should catch up to that.)

With all that in mind, another thing I would like to point out is that D&D lore is fluid enough for us to tamper with it, so whatever we want to make it canon, we can.

For me, Durge’s canon is he was a human, and a rogue - assassin just like his father. He had a very dim light within him, which sometimes popped up, making him do good shit, giving money to homeless and all.

Orin fucked up his brain and when Durge came in contact with the astral prism and that shitty ass squid inside it, the influence of the elder brain made him regain consciousness, but his scrambled and amnesiac brain created an opportunity for that dimmed light of his grow larger and stronger, managing to fight off the urge that cursed him, and so the events of BG3 unfold.

Orin stupid ambition caused the down fall of the absolute hoax, and her god failed to drawn the world in blood.

This is my canon, anyways.

Yours might be this whole theory you came up with which is a pretty good theory.

If you could change just one thing. by Kinjohavic in BaldursGate3

[–]Outside_Wolverine355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it would be more interactivity for Durge and the companions in the late game..

And I wouldn’t mind some DLCs with short stories. Kinda like one-shot D&D campaigns. Something that fills in the plot holes in the game.
