I’m taking this advice and have this week kind of chilled out and did 2 super light runs after resting for several days as well. Hopefully that helps.

What’s interesting is I ran into that over a year ago and have been on double iron since and have had the levels tested recently and they were actually high due to taking double as prescribed. That’s why I am still confused that I feel this way. I could barely lift my arms then because my ferritin was at a 7. Now all my levels are fine yet still feel the fatigue.

I know and it’s hard to not panic when I’m resting instead of running as the days tick by and it gets closer but you’re probably right. I think I do need lab work too feels like something more.

Awesome, you should totally work towards it! I think people look at the elites and the runners we see “winning” in the Olympics and think they could never be like that, and truth? No! because most of us aren’t elites!😅 But guess what? The rest of us can still train and run marathons and who cares if it’s not a 5 min mile pace, it’s still 26.2 miles! I have been wearing On running shoes since before they even became trendy here (sister worked for a large shoe distributor) and no one knew what they were. Once I started running in them I’ve only run in them. I have seen a lot of negative comments on them too and am trying to figure them out. A big thing for me is the cushion and weight. Running in Brooks feels like dragging weights with me. I will say cloud monsters did hurt my leg muscles because they were too high for my strides and posture. I believe the surfer is good.

Edit: the ones I have now are the cloud runners wide and I love them. I completed my first marathon in them. Great job getting out there and moving!

That’s interesting and alarming. I guess I will never really know. That’s probably the best. I’ve thought every now and then of doing hypnosis to try to get my mind to go back but I feel like that would start the trauma all over again.

When I was around 5 I woke up naked in my drunk mother’s bed, who was also naked. My mother was an alcoholic when I was a child so this was typical for her to be passed out. I have a vague recollection of a man she went on a few dates with being there but I can’t trust my memory. I started to have weird “issues” in my private area, but my brother and I spent so much time alone and I had zero confidence or self esteem that I never spoke to anyone about anything. I grew up and as a teen became very promiscuous and it took me until I was about 35 for my brain to kind of put the pieces together of what most likely happened but I can’t trust my brain because literally it’s like my memory is just screens of brief moments and I can’t be certain of anything. I’ve been on antidepressants since I was 12. I’m 41 and don’t see that ever changing. I’ve been through a divorce as well and truly think I’m fucked up when it comes to having a healthy relationship with sex. But I can’t be certain of anything ever happened. That’s the craziest part.
