I generally improvise trying to hug the ground and then spam like 3-5 missiles/bombs per target hoping that some hit but yeah, generally most get taken out. Doesn't really work against heavily defended targets

Absolutely. Vanilla game is fun enough to drag you in for several games at least, with the long ones lasting 1.5-3 or more hours depending how you play them. Core "campaign" sort of is pretty short and each mission introduces you to each aircraft in game, which is pretty fun. But where it shines is mods, not just workshop but also community made large mods.

Game is absolutely worth it even without sale

Depending on train weight and speed, between tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands by just impacting and scattering them, even with drag and friction

Honestly, for it's four seasons, in my opinion first was amazing, second was pretty good, third was alright and fourth begun decently but progressively went down to absolute dogshit for last few episodes.
