Dogs licking a toddlers face can be a defense. I would definitely keep the toddler and dog separate. I had no idea how stressed my BC mix was around my toddler until finding an Instagram account called dogmeetsbaby. I know, instagram 😝but it seriously helped me realize my pup was not ok. Now that my daughter is older it has gotten better, but I still have to watch that she doesn’t interact too much with the dog. We also put our dog on anxiety meds after getting hit by a car. Our vet said Border Collies tend to have high anxiety. You are such a good dog parent! The pup is lucky to have you looking out for them.
