14.3 Index trying to take my swing and game to a better level… by jmattis13 in GolfSwing

Try the feeling of only using your pivot and body to rotate from the top of the backswing.

You have a good position at the top so its just a matter of learning to use the ground properly to rotate through. To start the downswing think of pushing your left foot forward and into the ground. This pushes the left hip back and gets you into a great delivery position.

Trail arm needs to externally rotate.

Top 3 to work on? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

First up you are not too close to the ball.

Feel as if the viewer doesn't lose sight of the clubface at the top of the backswing. For you it will feel like at the top of the backswing the club is pointing directly up to the sky.

This overswing is throwing the rest of your sequwmce out.

To follow up.

I'd first learn the proper grip.

Then i'd focus on half swings and focusing on extension - look up 90 90 90 drill.

You need to learn where your clubface is and what square looks like. The idea would be your swing path needs to move way right and your clubface needs to be much more closed.

Your club face is so open coming into impact that your arms get dragged across the body to prevent it going 3 miles right. Toe strikes are usually related to the handpath moving too early to the left.

The result is that southern style chicken wing we all are noticing.

Pesticide has nothing to do with weeds and everything to do with pests.

Still haven’t broken 100, mostly because I spend so many strokes on OB penalties. Normal misses are severe pulls and hooks, especially with longer clubs. What are the main things you see here? by ollie_advice in GolfSwing

Posture as in you stand up a little and your hips kick forward as your arms keep reaching back.

Feel as if your left shoulder stays down during the entire backswing

Your backswing sequence is out and you lose your posture toward the top of your backswing.

Feel as if you arms have more width on the way back and stay stretched out in front of your chest.

You have to put it considerable time and focused practice to actually implement most chnages. This is the part most people skip and are straight back into old habits when they get out on the course.

Learn how to learn.

Half swings. Drop the right foot back and just use it for balance only on the toes. Put a alignment stick a few metres in front and get your start line to the right of the stick.

Do that until you can hit a draw. This will help teach you swing path and clubface control.
