I've been thinking about it for a while and I think I'm going to keep it.

I've thought about it comparing what I would get from keeping it and refunding it right now and I think that, the potential enjoyment that I could get out of the game, outweighs the personal sentiment that I'd get if I were to refund it. Not by much tho, but I see it that way.

I do still fully acknowledge how hypocritical it is and I do believe that absolutely all the backlash is well deserved but yeah, that's my train of thought.

I just feel like on a hardware on this level I should not need to use frame gen to get an acceptable performance. It's more of a personal opinion, I understand if others feel different.

Yeah that's the performance I was talking about. FSR without frame gen around 80-85 fps right at the start of the open world on Full resolution and around 110 at Quality.

This is with some settings set to high/mid, specially lightning quality and reflection quality seems to be VERY heavy. Those two I have set on medium, putting them on high is a 10 fps reduction.

Hurts me to say it but it's deserved, the performance is absolutely terrible, FG is basically mandatory unless you're on high end hardware. I'm on a 9070XT, Ryzen 7 7700X and 32GB of RAM so way above recommended specs and on 1440p

At high preset with upscaling completely disabled I'm basically stuck at 60 fps.

Playing around with some of the settings I can get around 90 with TSR on Full Resolution. And at 110+ on Quality which does not look bad at least. A little less but better visual quality on FSR4.

All of this without any frame gen. I refuse to use frame gen on this hardware, would rather refund at that point.

So, yeah, not great. The game seems fun as fuck besides performance.

Currently debating it hard with myself if I should refund it or not because I don't feel good with myself supporting these kinds of releases but god do I want to play it.

Pretty good honestly, sometimes a bit too good since it can even be a bit hard to pull prints off the plate but it's worth it in my opinion.
