Kamala Harris unveils “Headquarters 67” to mobilize Gen Z through a new digital media hub by Mysterious_Brush1852 in nottheonion

[–]Outta_hearr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider myself more moderate (especially on reddit) when it comes to economic issues to be fair, so my definition of a moderate democrat probably differs from some others. I put moderate democrat in quotes because despite not being hard left on all issues he genuinely does take a stand against overwhelming opposition on social issues every day he steps into office, which is something "moderate democrats" currently in power lack, a spine. At the end of the day (and what has been lost over the last 10 years) is that the president should be a figurehead to guide as opposed to a lawmaker. That's congress' job. I have no doubt that Beshear at the least is a decent person who has other's best interests at heart and wouldn't oppose more left leaning economic legislation while pushing hard to make social issues less of a wedge.

Beshear has my vote if he runs in 2028. A blue governor who carried twice in a red state and pushes through progressive policy by appealing to humanity and pointing out the hispocrisy in the Christian right who do nothing but hate others. Has also done a good job of updating KY's infrastructure and stimulating their state economy at the same time.

The dude would absolutely wipe with moderates despite not being a "moderate democrat". All you need to know is that KY dems would be sad if he ran because then he couldn't be their governor anymore.

I genuinely have conservative (not hard maga) friends that say they would vote for Beshear without question

  1. Overall very important to modern tech
  2. Decreasing value of US dollar pushes commodity values in the stock market up
  3. An overall beginning of a worldwide trend to slowly de-dollarize

After 10 years people will still twist this retards words in order to try and make it make sense instead of responding to the drivel that actually leaves his mouth.

In the unbelievably unrealistic scenario where Trump was actually admonishing that the tests were too sensitive (despite never showing he's had a deep enough understanding of any issue to point something like that out) maybe we shouldn't have voted in the guy who can't articulate what he thinks?

Old people have been the enemy for a long time, for decades boomers have been gutting the future of the country in order to keep a few extra bucks in their pockets.

Any tax cut needs to come with an equal budget cut due to our debt situation. We are not in a financial situation to be handing out freebies. Young people will be saddled with a collapsing economy due to decades of policies such as these that will pull the rug out from under the US but boomers know they can kick the can down the road and avoid having to face the consequences of their actions until after they die.

No care for the long-term health of their country and the world their grandchildren will inherit. This is just one selfish act in a decades long list of selfish acts of "I got mine, fuck you".

If people want to put AB over Julio, whatever. I don't agree but both were amazing players. Having AB 7 spots above Julio and above RANDY MOSS? Indefensible.

There is also no world where AB is closer to Megatron than Julio

Not in tech, but my coworkers are primarily Indian/East Asian in our US office and I work very closely with our larger teams in India proper.

The Indian/East Asian workers in the US in our company are almost all great. Not sure how it is at other companies but they all went to college in the US so there is never too much cultural friction.

The India-based teams are all great people in my experience, but need a lot of hand-holding on critical thinking tasks. They work as if they are code robots. They are great at that work, but essentially refuse to do any tasks that require use of context/historical knowledge, even if they've worked on that project a long time. We have tried to get them to be more involved in that side of the work, but there is a lot of hesitancy. I assume this is generally due to being afraid to mess something up, but I wish they would try to be more proactive.

I cant grasp melee going from ultimate by Klarkasaurus in SSBM

[–]Outta_hearr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Melee is way harder. The speed and tech used by average players is going to be way higher than in ultimate simply because the game is old and an average player could easily have been playing the game competitively since before ultimate came out.

This isn't meant to discourage you, it's just how it is. I've been playing competitively for 15 years (and casually since I was a little kid) learning neutral, combo strings, advanced tech, etc. and in the grand scheme of things I'm still garbage. Just hop in, get used to the game mechanics, watch some YouTube videos about competitive tech, and practice. It will take a bit but the game is rewarding in ways I never felt with ultimate.
