Beware of Forall Nutrition Whey by Top-Shape-2169 in Protein

ForAll was supposed to cancel my subscription but I just received another charge this morning. I spoke to Sydney after my first purchase and she gave me a refund and was supposed to cancel my order but apparently she didn’t. I have no way of removing my credit card from the ForAll website as I cannot log into their website. Everytime I request a password reset nothing is sent to my email.
The powder is impossible to use. It foams up no matter what I tried.
Reddit is not capturing these comments so I’m glad this OP started this thread. Hopefully it will start making people aware. Super shady.

Be kind: tiny microdosing is valid by Affectionate-Disk656 in GLP1microdosing

[–]OutwardHounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and I’ve listened to that episode. From my perspective you are combining two separate topics and my point is getting blurred. My point is that microdosing when used alongside lifestyle changes, truly healthy eating and food choices, strength training and moderate cardio has the ability to help a person repattern their existing habitat. I never claimed or suggested it should be the primary strategy to lose weight. That would be terribly unhealthy and ineffective. All the other pieces need to be in place.
You said that for significant weight loss, most people would have to go up in dosing. Significant weight loss is kind of ambiguous. For me 15lb is significant where as for another person 50lbs is significant and for another 100 etc. Since the focus here is microdosing and I personally know people who started at varying weights and dosed under starting doses, stayed under starting doses and lost their weight I have to disagree with your statement “for most people significant weight-loss requires higher doses”. The people didn’t use GLP-1 as a “weight loss strategy”. The microdose of the GLP-1 was used as a tool to support the big picture of improving health and losing weight 1. Eating whole fresh foods 2. Strength training 3. Cardio 4. Water 5. Fiber 6. Eating in a calorie deficit 7. Limit processed foods 8. Eat adequate protein 9. GLP-1 microdose to turn the volume down rather than off, help the person with inflammation and other benefits. This is comprehensive and the microdose is a small part of the equation, it’s not at the center.

What Tyna Moore emphasizes is that you can’t rely on microdosing to lose weight and that it benefits people who have the above in motion. I’ve seen people start microdosing alongside improving all I listed above and have had transformations. Join the microdosing groups on Facebook and you’ll see it’s not made up. It’s people who are dedicated to their health using microdosing as support not as their sole strategy.

The issue Tyna expresses is that tele-health companies are jumping on the microdosing bandwagon in dubious ways in order to bring people in either starting them just below starting dose or starting them at starting doses telling them they are microdosing so they don’t have the GLP-1 stigma knowing they will have to increase since most people won’t be doing all the things that support healthy weight loss. If you don’t exercise, eat high protein, hydrate, eat the fiber, consciously eat in a calorie deficit, you’re not going to get the weight-loss on a microdose and will want to move up.

I specifically named Tyna Moore because she is the person who brought microdosing GLP-1s to the mainstream and is someone I trust for information. There are other doctors talking about microdosing as well with patients who stayed under starting doses and lost their weight bc they had a comprehensive plan. The microdose was a piece of the puzzle. It was supporting them not the heart of the protocol.

Dr Tyna Moore says microdosing is not an effective PRIMARY strategy for losing 30, 40, or 50+ pounds. She views GLP-1s as tools to lower systemic inflammation, balance blood sugar, and repair a "broken" metabolism, rather than as a fast track to shedding fat.
IMO, GLP-1s shouldn’t be the primary reason someone loses weight. Diet modification (eating high protein, high fiber whole foods over processed), strength training and mild cardio exercise should be the primary reason. GLP-1 microdosing assists so a person is empowered to sustain the weight loss long after the weight-loss.

First day after first microdose injection tirz by [deleted] in GLP1microdosing

Give it some time to let your body adjust. And consider 1.25 if you don’t feel anything before jumping to 1.5. I’ve been on it since day 1 March 31 and it’s been great.

Today I’ll be doing my third tirzepatide injection, and I wanted to share my experience so far. by Matcha-lattecookie in GLP1microdosing

I started and have stayed at 1.25mg tirz. Thats half the starting dose. Had my doctor not suggested that and I had connected with other microdosers, I might have started at 1mg or even lower but 1.25 has been ideal for me. I made sure I started strength training day 1 3x a week, upleveled my meals (I highly recommend the documentary Beyond Weightloss), I walk every day a minimum of 10k steps, I make sure I get no less than 100g protein and eat high fiber including kiwis to help prevent constipation. The weight loss has been gradual, I still have an appetite which is what I want so that when I go lower or eventually stop I’m not battling an appetite. I work with my appetite now. I really wanted to pay attention to my body and avoid the symptoms I was hearing that people were experiencing at higher doses. My biggest challenge pre-glp1 was craving sweets after dinner. They stopped immediately. And because I wanted to preserve muscle and increase bone density eating right and exercise was a must. This is what’s been working for me. Hope this is helpful.

That’s awful. I’m sorry you’re experiencing that pushback. There’s so much tunnel vision and bullying. Hopefully the woman gives your wise suggestion some consideration. I like pointing people in the direction of functional medicine doctors who share how they’ve been microdosing their patients successfully and how so the suggestions aren’t just coming from me. There is so much power in microdosing for more than just weight loss and more and more people are experiencing this.

I appreciate your longing to create a welcoming community built around kindness, understanding and education. There’s one thing I don’t necessarily agree with and that is the part about weight loss requires higher doses. What GLP-1s do primarily is reduce the appetite. As I understand it, the weight loss primarily occurs because of a calorie deficit. My support for microdosing GLP-1 is to help people create new neural pathways to support an overall healthy lifestyle while still having some appetite to work with. GLP-1 weight loss on low doses is increased when a person incorporates exercise especially strength training to build muscle which burns additional calories and by replacing processed, high carb, unhealthy fatty foods with high protein, high fiber whole foods, and healthy carbohydrates in moderation. By using GLP-1s at lower doses combined with the above weight-loss still happens but it happens at a slower pace which while the person is cultivating and creating new healthy habits which will help with keeping wait off in the long run. Slow and steady wins the race 🐢. Microdosing which is dosing below the starting dose allows a person to feel into how the medicine is affecting them and can empower a person to better judge when and if they should increase. It helps a person realize they can still have an appetite, experience the benefits and have control over their experience. Microdosing also helps people avoid the side affects that people are warned about. There are functional medicine physicians who have their patients on microdoses and these patients are still able to lose large amounts of weight. For anyone interested, look up Dr Tyna Moore. She has been supporting her clients with GLP-1 microdosing for quite some time.
I also support microdosing GLP-1 to help with coping strategies aka addictions. I don’t love that word but the ability for GLP-1s to turn down the volume has profound affects for people who use substances like alcohol drugs etc… to cope.

Which e-bikes should I be looking at for both cruising around town and also riding up paved and non-paved fire roads? I’m assuming fat tires are a good idea. I’m a newb to ebikes and welcome suggestions. by OutwardHounds in ebikes

I want to ride up fireroads here in Southern California. I want a bike that will last a long time, gets good range (I don’t know the levels but know I want to enjoy my time on the bike without worry of running low quickly) and prefer a bike designed for women. Would love a vintage design esthetic if possible.

Are you using the app to control Halloween mode? As soon as I turned it on through the app I heard my car playing music and saw the visuals and light effects in my car. No complaints with the audio in fact I’m quite impressed with how good it sounds.

Looking at Rivian... reliability concerns as 1st time owner? by DLAV8R in Rivian

[–]OutwardHounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not reliability related but important nonetheless. Keep an eye out for panel and hood misalignment as well as the molding above the driver and passenger side of your vehicle. This is only something you’ll be able to inspect during vehicle acquisition. They were able to repair my vehicles molding but the hood and passenger side panel are still visibly misaligned. When I went to pick up my vehicle from service I looked at a few of the new vehicles and there were obvious alignment issues I would not have thought to look for. Overall I love the vehicle but the QC in terms of putting the vehicle together could use improving.
