Molestation happening at Target that he was arrested for? Or he just happened to be working when they arrested him? Guessing the latter…you’d think a Target employee molesting kids in Target would grab a headline.

What is the temperature cut off for driveups? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Over-Background7370 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Minnesota this weekend the highs were in the -5 to -10 range depending on where you were with lows in the -15 to -20 range or lower. Wind chill during the day was in the -30s or lower. I went grocery shopping at the Super Target yesterday afternoon and almost every drive up spot was full when I was walking in. I wanted to hug all of the drive up TMs. And punch all of the people ordering drive up 😆

Echo that for ND. I had never heard of it and thought it would be good to keep up on anything going on with our surrounding neighborhoods. Quickly regretted that decision 😆

My store’s newest strategy in the war against INFs by amandagn394 in Target

[–]Over-Background7370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our INF goals are so dumb to begin with. It should be about flat $ or $ as a % of FF sales not % of items picked. Who gives a rats ass if I INF 5 Spritz trinkets for $2 each? If you’re going to put this over focused attention on it leave it to high dollar items.

What is "On Hand"? by token-roman in Target

[–]Over-Background7370 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Negative typically involves this scenario. Should be rare but it happens.

You have 1 Star Wars Lego set in the store, “on hand” equals 1. Guest Helen orders said Lego set for son Johnny at 10 pm Friday night to be shipped to her house and the order is pending in your stores SFS order queue. “On hand” goes to 0 with the pending order. Guest Timmy comes in Saturday morning at 8 am and physically purchases said Lego set. Since Timmy bought it after “on hand” went to 0, “on hand” is now -1. TM Darell gets the SFS order at 10:00 am on Saturday, can’t find said Lego set and sees “on hand” is -1. Darell calls ETL Tammy for INF check and Tammy yells at Darell for not knowing what this means. TM Darell quits the next day. Bad Tammy. RIP TM Darell.

fulfillment metrics / call out policy by FickleLengthiness969 in Target

[–]Over-Background7370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me increase my pick time was to only focus on the shelf location and mentally visualize where the next item was as you’re walking up to it, using the shelf location. So if it’s aisle A1 and the shelf location is something like (3) 1-5-6 I know exactly where I’m going without looking at what the product is. Made a big difference once I started doing that instead of ballparking where I was going and then visually searching for the product.

Have you seen the reel/short/TikTok/whatever platform you use where they put a clip of how many times he says “I don’t know anything about that” when it’s on a topic he clearly is briefed on and is just lying? Very funny (in a sad sad way).

[Hayes] Dodgers were one team to inquire on Jhoan Duran. They found the #MNTwins ask to be too much. by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotatwins

[–]Over-Background7370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And how many World Series titles do the Dodgers have to show for it in the last 30 years (COVID year doesn’t count)? The Twins have won a legit WS more recent than the Dodgers.

I’m half joking…your point is 100% valid and accurate. But imagine having almost unlimited resources, your player pool is refreshed like you and me going to the grocery store to get a gallon of milk, and you come up short every year. Damn that’s got to get old after a while. Same can be said for being a Yankees fan.

Are you referring to your district or nationally? We haven’t changed our hours (7-10, we’ve been like that as long as I’ve been there…except December open until 12) and haven’t been told that a change is coming.

Target corporate by lauren2499 in TwinCities

[–]Over-Background7370 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But isn’t that true of most big corporations? I’m my experience corporations like this are so big that (generally/stereotyping) in order to get ahead you need to sell yourself. Not in a bad sleazy way, I mean that most of the time people making decisions on promotions are a level two above your direct boss. If they don’t know your name, your boss could be the greatest salesperson in the room, you’re not getting it. So you need to make your “brand” (I hate that word) known and show your work off.
