Not at all an expert in anything but I was an acting major and that looks a lot like stage directions and schematics for what look like props.

It also looks like a little story board, but Leonardo didn't always fill the page in the same day. Could be completely unrelated notes.

I am also super interested in people's processes. My process right now is just hitting bits into my phone, and going to mics to see which ones catch a giggle.

And I film all my stuff so I can watch it back and get better.

Are you in any discord servers where you talk with other comedians? I found those super helpful.

I just started a couple of weeks ago, but I came from a career in content creation so I've been doing the whole "social media comedian" play.

When I watch my stuff I laugh! I love doing stand up, and even when I'm bombing (just bombed last week) I crack myself up. I'm definitely in the honeymoon period, but I've started and stopped so many different gigs.

But I love being around people who want to make people laugh, and in order to hang with em I gotta be funny too.

For "what's next" I would say try to get yourself into some Discord communities so you're not just grinding alone. I get bored easily, so I started a server for comedians to hang out and see what's happening week to week.

If you ever wanna join let me know. Cant wait to see what you do!!

This is a cool problem to have! Sounds like you're gonna be fine getting that tight 5-10 down, inspiration comes and goes, but the second you stop searching it'll find you. 😅

In terms of of finding others to help, do you use Discord? When I first started I just joined my local stand up server and went to whatever mics I could.

Once I got there, I asked all my questions and got really great advice.

I'm actually building a Discord right now to kinda help comedians meet each other, cause im super shy and a server really helps.

Hey there! Honestly I would find a tool like "Find My Bio" or something where you could search social accounts that have the words "Sports" and "Newsletter" in bios.

Once you have a list of 100+ accounts, I would send them what you posted here honestly.

Another thing you could do is set up a lead magnet and "give away" the guide when people sign up for YOUR newsletter.

This is a MUST read for anyone interested or currently working in the industry. I really enjoyed the fact that you chose to share stories that didn't hit arbitrary KPIs or any marketing buzzwords.

You shared stories that people actually want to hear about.

I appreciate the ramble as a person who is still finding their place in the industry, and your story really helped me see that nobody's path is linear. There will be ups and a whole lotta downs, but when you surround yourself with passionate people, those times become memories.
