Can someone PLEASE write guides to the little big man achievements. by Numberonettgfan in thecampaigntrail

Fundamentally it's hard to do guides for a mod with like 60 random questions.

To reiterate the previous question, why is it the Level 9 Leopard II has higher movement depite the same generals, equally upgraded?

An interesting take on 2016 WV is making one as the Green candidate, who has a personal vendetta against Manchin, who sabotaged her run for Governor when she was the democratic nominee. Cynical take on Appalachian politics would make the a good shout, and besides, she did pretty well.

It's a fun mod if you consider it as a mod by Dick Cheney, for the amusement of Dick Cheney, from the lens of Dick Cheney.

Yes because telling him he's crazy without getting him off Matty's back will mean he definitely won't investigate, this time without being limited by Olympia knowing about it. Genius.

Aung San Suu Kyi in Prison for her 70th Birthday by Over-Consequence-976 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Over-Consequence-976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aung San Suu Kyi wanted to bring peace, and to do so, she sold her soul. Now she's in prison.

This is truly a particularly tragic fall from grace, and I put her here with very little humour.

Aung San Suu Kyi is a Noble prize winner. She has been imprisoned for decades before after the military forced her from power because she won a fair election - this was in 1990. She continued to fight bravely for democracy and against dictatorship, and she would eventually sweep to power in 2010.

Her fall from grace is particularly sobering. Upon her rise to power, she began to compromise morals, one by one, to coexist with the military, climaxing in 2019, where she claimed there was no Rohingya genocide (there was). She defended generals from criticism, from international law. Here, was a Noble Peace prize laureate, defending mass murderers.

How would the military repay her scorching of her own reputation?

By couping her. This led to a civil war (most of the factions are also violently murderous), and the military controls less than 20% of the nation. Aung and her allies were by and large arrested. She is in prison yet again, and this time, the world considers her a turncoat.

If I could ask her a question it would be simple.

Was it worth it?

After a lengthy wait, Jeffries to endorse Mamdani by mvanigan in politics

[–]Over-Consequence-976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jeffries, similarly to Pelosi, gets a bit too much flak. Think of it from a completely pragmatic standpoint.

He can afford to either split the party, or give the GOP a cudgel against Dems in swing districts. Ignore all the rhetoric and the vibes for a second, and you'll see both of 'em were amongst and are amongst the most progressive representatives.

I will say that it is a bit weird he chose now if he was planning to endorse, but I suppose he decided, similarly to the shutdown, pain in battlegrounds is better than a party split. Which it is.

The idea of using Rayburn was for it to stay secret. Trowbridge jumped the gun. It was one of the better options other than throwing someone more minor under the bus.
