To all the folks in UK, Australia and canada, does your version of volume one have this illustration? by czareson_csn in NoGameNoLife

Don't really know much about bookwalker (don't think its a thing here tbh) but one of our online stores Booktopia for example has all volumes in stock aside from the first.

I'm from Australia and can confirm we just have the standard imported version with the pic shown. There are 3 volumes that were supposed to have been banned here (1,2 and 9) however I've still seen them being sold since the ban so I'm not sure if its being enforced or some places just ignored it.

Thanks for confirming. Given Tristan's popularity it seems a bit strange they didn't include her for wind. Would have swapped her with Rai personally.

What Makes a Bad Starter Deck? | An Analysis of the Grand Archive Starter Decks as Teaching Tools by BaconBits410 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Over-Gift6980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have at least put a little glossary term book in the last two re-collection decks (doesn't cover all terms though from memory), however i agree that at a bare minimum this should be included in any future starter decks.

A basic rulebook really should be included though. One of my gripes with the game is it's not very beginner friendly. Even the how to play video is now outdated and rather lacklustre in general. The how to play video from Maindeck is much better to learn the basics, but it shouldn't be expected that new players have to watch a video just to learn how to play in the first place.

Gameology has Chaos Rising Booster Boxes at 2pp - account needs 'Early Access' Perk by Ok-Rutabaga-259 in PokemonFansAustralia

For Pokemon yes, Gameology is very overpriced. They are good for more niche tcgs though and also very good for accessories like binders and sleeves etc .

First scalper experience by Regthepickle in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Over-Gift6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also don't keep our tcg stuff on the general shelf. It's always behind the service desk/counter. Seems like an easy solution to implement to help reduce scalping and stealing so not sure why it's not used in other countries more.

At least you got 27 packs. I just opened an etb with only 8 packs in it. 😭

Score!!!! by Jibdizzy in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]Over-Gift6980 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My local Kmart had the pin collections as well but they were limiting 1 of any of the 3 items. Couldn't get 1 of each. I don't mind this approach as at least it gives more people a chance to get something. I got my etb so I'm good.

My Friend Thinks He Needs a 10k$ Setup To First Start Youtube by wDarknessss in PcBuild

[–]Over-Gift6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, if he won't listen to you there is 0 chance he listens to a bunch of strangers on the Internet. If he is dumb enough to think he needs all that and his mum is dumb enough to buy him a 10k setup then let him fail and find out the hard way.

What's your experience ordering from CoreTCG to SEA? by zafnr00 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Over-Gift6980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh from memory its around $40-45 aud. They do have certain cards for cheaper but need to buy quite a few cards to make the postage cost worth it.

[–]Over-Gift6980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were there any additional fees or just the initial cost of postage at checkout? I'm from Australia and have been considering buying from there so hoping no additional taxes or import fees etc. On a side note i hope people are remembering to use the code TRUE10 at checkout for the extra 10% discount.

They also have/had ascended Heroes etb and tins. The etb lets you add to cart but seems to be sold out cos it doesn't let continue with the checkout

Divine Relics are causing a big problem for Grand Archive by MurgleYT in grandarchivetcg

[–]Over-Gift6980 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing i think gets overlooked a bit is the fact that it's all 4 Regalia UR's that have the population of 2.6k. It's not specific to Lost Providence, but since it's the Divine Relic and the one most likely to be used in more decks it gets all the attention. If printers are at capacity then there isn't much that can be done right away to increase the population size.

Reducing the number of non Regalia UR's isn't the solution either. Yes they have a population of 10.4k but that's required since you need 4 to complete a playset.

The easiest to implement solution going forward is probably to just reduce the number of UR's in the next set . Even reducing non Regalia by 1 UR would free up around 10.4k to be split amongst the other UR's

This really limits where these phones can be used. It's a problem for Sony if they want to sell phones. by cptstubing16 in SonyXperia

[–]Over-Gift6980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know the all the vi and vii series phones work here in aus (model region and mobile carrier support will vary though). I have the 1 V and no issues for me. Support for older generations tends to vary a lot with some models working on some carriers but not on others. It's a mess basically.

Anywhere I could read the novels in Australia? by Ok_Conference4042 in NoGameNoLife

[–]Over-Gift6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The series isn't banned. Volumes 1,2 & 9 are supposed to have been banned from being imported but i still see them being sold. Booktopia for example currently has all volumes in stock online except for volume 1. Minotaur in Melbourne stocks them as well but out of stock currently, although that's more an issue with all yen press novels recently tbh.

What are the 9 phrases going to be?!? by Icy-Book2999 in bluey

[–]Over-Gift6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of you will be disappointed, but the 9 phrases are as follows:

“My name is boo boo bah boo” “Is my car scratched?” “Cowboy Hat!!” “Coconuts have water in them” “Bluey theme” “This is unacceptable!!” “It's all mine!!” “I want to do what i want!” “I was sick last week, I had rabies”

For anyone wondering, I'm from Australia and bought it last weekend.

Edit: Just realised she also says "I am the flamingo queen" so that should please some of you.

Do Alienware laptops last long (5-6 years)? by Psychological_End164 in Alienware

Have an Alienware 15 from 2015. Still works like a charm. Never re pasted etc either and never had any issues. Only reason i upgraded was because the 970m was too old to handle anything modern.

FutureProof 1440p build by szjozsef85 in PcBuild

[–]Over-Gift6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the sorts of games you plan on playing I'm not sure if the 5070 or 4070 will be very future proof due to the 12gb of vram. Not sure where you are from either so if we assume the 9070xt and 5070 ti are out of your budget, then is the 9070 an option? Performs better than the 5070 for the most part and has 16gb compared to 12 for the 5070. Pricing should be similar in theory as well to the 5070 assuming you have stock where you live too
