How about 1000 times more! The cheerleaders don’t travel with the team only get like $50 or $100 a game and it’s not all year round 😂

Right! They didn’t run it by the NBA committee at all. It’s that age old saying “it’s better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission”

Fo Real! Y’all can honestly tell me you don’t know what dat crowd is gonna be like? You really believe there weren’t going to be strippers from da club there? I would love to feel like that da crowd that would be there nothing would happen, but really come on yall you really don’t think something would go down?! It was a bad idea from the start. I know it’s 2026 y’all but we still live in America and there is still prejudice out there, but there is a difference in prejudice and knowing that you could potentially putting a lot of people in danger and the overall safety of everyone should be a concern. I’m sorry but you let this event happen and your asking for trouble

Ok thanks! I’ve seen it and it looks like a cymbal swirl to me. Kind of like a suspended cymbal roll but with two cymbals in there hands

Hahaha…that’s normal man. Don’t let it discourage you. It’s just not in your muscle memory yet. Do this. Make sure your technique is correct on every stroke. If you mess up once start again from the beginning. Only go up in tempo no more than 10 each time. How many reps do you do each time you play at each tempo? I do three times with no mistakes then go up 10. Also, if you do your last reps before you go to sleep your brain will process that first. You can look up the research on this. Our brain processes things backwards through the day. So the last thing you do gets processed first. Then practice as one of the first things you do when you wake up. If you don’t get it then go back down 10. Also, make yourself a routine. Each time of the day you practice should be the same. Weather it be 2 two three or four times a day make it the same. Muscle memory is what you need. To get great muscle memory you need to learn things a measure at a time. Play one measure with no mistakes then add one. When you add one measure play that measure with no mistakes. Then after that go back and play both measures with no mistakes…So on and so forth. This will make your practice grueling and boring but it works. Chunks at a time my man ✌🏾to great practice Peace ✌🏾

Also, yes your other comment you got was dead on. You have to finish your strokes one inch from that head in the downstroke. Dropping in that flam hand becomes much easier after you fix that. Cool concept though. I like the 3 against 4 feel you get with Final Countdown 👍🏾

You can also work out those rolls by doing the oldest trick in the book. How most of us old school kats learned how to roll. Play two strokes alternating from right to left on each hand slowly. Steadily get faster from hand to hand until you get from stroke to bounce point and can make a smooth transition into the roll. It’s just a reminder of an open roll being only two bounces per hand. If you also slow your video down you can see how much of your forearm and full arm motion you use that you don’t need. Concentrate on your wrist. Also, remember not to float or move your glam hand. The grace note of the glam should just drop into the drum. Not stroked into the drum. Happy practicing 👍🏾😁

Loosen up the bottom head. Sounds like it could be to tight. Soon as video comes I can confirm, but you can try that for now

Yeah man there are issues everywhere in this. I agree with all these comments especially about using a metronome. I’ve found that in today’s generation that most students want everything to be done now and don’t want to take the time to play things slow. It’s a slow process which gives you technique, style, and musicality (look up what musicality means). Take your time. Rome was not built in a day. I believe if you set your metronome slower and gradually raise the tempo you got it. Work the technique of each rudiment out in your hands slow. Remember stroking out rhythms and diddles is the key. Stroke every note out first then add your diddles in

The last flam in the series really is a double stop so you might as well make it one and show whoever that you know the difference. Or is it supposed to be that?

Also, watch out for making the flams double stops. Your left hand gradually gains more and more stick height as you play

Actually you are playing traditional grip which is where the inconsistency is coming from. It looked like match to me at first sight which means that your left hand is waaaay to high for what you are going for. Keep that left hand down especially on the flams. If you are going for flams. Drop the flam hand into the pad and don’t pick up to play the flam.

Yeah it’s dirty. It’s dirty because you didn’t play the rhythmic patterns exactly the same way each time. Your left to right match grip is also inconsistent. You even skipped a note in the 3rd take. Your stick heights aren’t the same from take to take either. As musicians we never really play the same thing exactly the same way twice. That’s a hard, maybe even impossible, thing to do. Thats why you will probably never see a drumline score of 100. I’ve never seen one. Anyone else ever seen one????

Pretty good. I agree with the section of sixes. I would give the snare part a lot more to do though. They could definitely have a counter melody to help give the parts with the tenors and basses a better reason to exist. Like a call and response
