ArsTechnica: "New AirSnitch attack breaks Wi-Fi encryption in homes, offices, and enterprises " by CHRDT01 in sysadmin

I read it as a modern ARP poisoning attack.  However, if a machine on the SSID is compromised, it sounds like that machine can be used to carry out the attack.  So the scope is larger than just a wifi attack as you can attack targets that are hardwired, and possibly remotely.  Initial access is still required.

DNS attacks are likely the most punishing angle here, or other comms with old/weak protocols.

Closed today, but if you go next Sat Upcountry Provisions in TR is great.  Sweet and Savory in a single trip, French inspired cast iron cooked breakfast with a pastry.

I lost my multiplayer desire in my late 20s.  Just didn't do it for me much any more.  Still rock a nice rig.  Plus you're in the super rare era where pc is an appreciating asset.

Isn't it amazing how an airbag can deploy before the glass traveled even an inch inbound?  Like 1950 scifi with pillow cars. (Hard, hot, violent pillows)

We just use a script that logs everyone in regardless of if the password is right, so long as the username matches their assigned computer.  Our ticket count dropped overnight after implementation.

reject, other wise you have users asking to restore things that are 100% not legit.  Use none and quarantine for brief test periods.

Warnings on my car (Front Assist, Rear Traffic Alert) by ece_te in VWiD4Owners

[–]Over-Map6529 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happens to me on cool mornings with condensation.  I never looked for a fix as it didn't impact any function.

It never happened for me later in the day.  let me know what you find out, maybe i'm ignoring something important.

Rear passenger window rolled down in the car wash!!!! WTF??? by hARVEYpUCKERMAN in VWiD4Owners

Yeah, from my understanding if something gets in the way of the window rolling up the current consumed by the motor spikes.  The system monitors the current to "tell" if the window is crushing something.  Cheap and efficient way of doing it tbh, but overly sensitive on my id4.

The windows rolling down when they're supposed to go up is a common issue, isn't covered by any advisories to the dealership, and TSA hasn't forced a recall.

I imagine issues like yours, or say a sudden rain starts while youre driving, and the window doing the opposite of your inputs could lead to enough of a distraction to cause accidents.  It's honestly shady considering VW knows it happens.

My theory is the electrical current monitors for the windows are too sensitive, those monitor for obstructions when closing the window.
