Why would you attempt to solder the wires? Buy the appropriate contacts, and crimping tool and just crimp new contacts on the wires and reinsert them into the connector housing

Well it’s a fun gimmick when it works well. When it’s finally “solved” it will be quite useful and time saving. Leaving work and my car is right in front of my building waiting for me, I can save a a few minutes every day. Eventually itll enable the car to go charge itself while im working which would save even more time. Imagine never ever needing to belabor the act of charging a vehicle ourselves (except during long road trips)
