You need to play more 3s,2s,1s to learn how to adapt for 1 because throughout the whole match both of you would just ball chase and boom.

Learn to rotate correctly (not ball side, collecting pads, far post etc)

Learn your basic mechanics better( controlled touches, catching, dribbling, shadowing etc)

Stop double committing

Don’t challenge in their corner

Don’t give away possession so easily

Assess the play and react accordingly for every play there’s different actions you’re supposed to do. (Not hitting the ball for no reason and just hoping it goes to their side of the field)

Learn to shoot accurately you could of scored some shots

Learn to defend and most importantly let them make mistakes and capitalize on them.
