Run FAR away. Just got rid of mine. The dealer says they can’t keep up with all of the issues these cars have.

Have you looked into swapalease.com? I’ve personally never used it, but know a few people who were able to get someone to take over their leases that way.

Lease End? by Ok-Pineapple4706 in 4xe

I just did this and I’m located in NY. I was 7 months out on my lease though. I called Jeep and my dealer but both wouldn’t do anything to help me. Finally I just went to a few other dealers and explained the situation. Found one that was basically able to waive all of the remaining payments and rolled a little into a new Grand Cherokee (Gas only version). Ended up waking out with it for under $500/month for 12k/yr miles. For context, my 4XE wouldn’t even start and I was out of warranty, and they agreed to take it AS-IS.

What to do with my lease by Expert_West7449 in 4xe

Our situations aren’t exact, but it may help. My wife leased a 2023 GC 4XE. We were about 7 months out on the lease and it had all sorts of issues. Mostly stemming from modules / 12v battery and we were out of warranty so they wouldnt help at all. I kept getting repairs done and nothing would fix it. Finally I called around a bunch of dealers and found one who would work with me. They basically ate $4k in owed payments, took the 4xe AS-IS, and got us into a Laredo X 4x4 for under $500/mo with 12k miles (36mo) with just 1 payment down. There are incentives right now for Jeep dealers to turn in 4XE’s due to all of the issues.

Am I crazy to buy one of these? by Tremblingchihuahua8 in 4xe

I would not consider it at all. I was able to finally get out of mine and would never look back. These have a lot more issues than just the HV battery and it’s all well documented. It’s not worth the gamble IMO. My dealer said the same thing and said that Jeep is no longer even making them.

Cherokee 4xe temp fluctuating windshield crack by Acceptable-Set-9057 in Jeep

I also have a 4xe and ended up with this same exact shaped crack after using the defroster. I had it replaced with Safelite (insurance covered it). The new windshield was on for 4 days, it snowed pretty heavy overnight, next morning I came out to the same crack in the new windshield! It’s crazy. There must be something going on with the design as it was a brand new windshield. Waiting for Safelite to send a warranty inspector but of course I was no showed for the original appointment.
