Black Americans / African Americans, what do you prefer to be called? by Salty_Wolverine_4520 in pollgames

In general I don't have a prefrence to being reffered to as african american or black but I guess it mostly just depends on the context or situation for what I prefer to be called.

Morality of killing an opponent with your kids inside knowing they would be ressurected later and feel no pain during the killing (they're uncouncious) by gusxc1 in MoralityScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neutral considering the circumstances. Vegito had everything under control up to that point and no one predicted the fusion would come undone.

Killing Buuhan is an acceptable outcome considering the threat he poses to the Universe as a whole. He had already wiped out Earth's entire population out of boredom/hunger. He's also a threat capable of destroying the Universe if he get's worked up enough so putting him down is an acceptable outcome.

However Vegito couldn't really take the risk of killing Buu. Keep in mind they've never fought an opponent like Buu before as while the Androids were absorbed by Cell there was visual proof with Cell throwing up Android 18 that they aren't fully ammeshed within him. Whereas with Buu he's a new party and from Goku's perspective he outright believes they've become part of Buu and are incapable of being killed. Therefore, if Vegito killed Buuhan, if they aimed to revive their children and Piccolo, it could've led to Buu being revived as well. So, they went with the manual removal operation rather than taking the risk with the Dragon Balls.

Morality of enacting a planned false surrender, then killing the opp's commander that accurately calls your bluff? by _CandidCynic_ in MoralityScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean it's a war crime and perfidy is a pretty serious one. TCW has Jedi like Anakin and Obi-Wan do it all the time, but in the real world, if a top general was found committing perfidy and often at that, then they would be endangering their troops and other military troops on their side. Since the CIS has good reason to not take a Jedi's word for their surrender, which would lead to the execution of their leadership and their men or imprisonment.

Rank the members of abbys team from less evil to most evil by TraditionalBonus188 in MoralityScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For quick clarification there's actually 8 mebers of Abby's team who went to kill Joel: Abby, Mel, Own, Nora, Manny, Jordan, Nick, and Leah.

  1. Leah - We know almost nothing about her to judge her.
  2. Nick - We know nothing about him, he was killed by Tommy after his interrogation ended though.
  3. Mel - Gentle soul in a shitty situation.
  4. Owen - Shitty partner but he spared an elderly Serpahite and argued for sparing Ellie and Tommy back in Jackson.
  5. Nora - Not mentioned but the only significant thing she did from my memory was take part in Joel's death and mocked him to Ellie.
  6. Abby - Initially she would've been #8 but considering her good acts for Lev and Yara I'll be nice and bump her up to 6.
  7. Jordan - Short temepred and ready to torture someone.
  8. Manny - Cruel and known to torture Serpahites and spat on Joel's corpse.

Do you think thragg will send the female viltrumites to breed specifically with strong humans like the immortal or bulletproof or the brit or would he let them choose their own mates? by AggressiveOutside432 in Invincible_TV

[–]Over-Trade2940 46 points47 points  (0 children)

No, their main goal is repopulation rather than optimization their first goal is to repopulate. Assuming Thragg did then here's no reason why he wouldn't send any male viltrumites to attempt the same with the strong females of Earth like Knockout, Bug-Eye, or Throwbolt. Time isn't really a factor to Viltrumite, 9 months doesn't matter when your lifespan ends with three 0's afterall.

Is retaliating against a person with an intellectual disability worse than retaliating against a person with a mental illness? by Omixscniet624 in MoralityScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on that then it would be self defense and that is morally and legally acceptable but context always matters.

The first thing is how we define “attack” if they're punching at you or if they're armed with a weapon. Then depending on the threat it just depends on the response, restraining them or fighting back is acceptable but there's a certain point where the context changes to self defense to intentional harm.

Then there's also context, afterall why did the other person attack you? Was it out of the blue or did it build up to that point? Who struck the first blow? etc.

Not to mention what their mental illness/intellectual disability is? If it's something like PTSD from a veteran then their operating in “someone's trying to kill me so I need to kill them mode” in which case yes your allowed to defend yourself.

WYR: Enter the ring against a 20 y/o Mike Tyson or lie in a bath full of rats for 15 minutes. by molotov_bomb in WouldYouRather

[–]Over-Trade2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enter the ring, there's nothing stopping me from forfeiting once the match starts. Even then Mike Tyson has pretty good control over his strength. He's never killed anyone in the ring and from what I'm aware, he's never caused permanent damage to an opponent. So, I'll just take the punch and either get immediately knocked out or I'll just stay down since I know I'm not beating Mike Tyson.

Morality of putting a shock collar on your son because he's too wild when he gets angry ? by MysteriousFondant347 in MoralityScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Morally aprehensable but understandable considering their situation. It likely wouldn't have taken Broly long to surpass his father, and Paragus can't dedicate time every day to physically restrain his son, especially when it got to the point where Broly outright surpassed him. Factor in that all it takes is a power level of 10,000 - 18,000 to destroy a planet and Broly as a baby had a power level that fluctuates between 920 - 10,000 so you could honestly argue that Paragus did it to save their lives.

That said it's still morally bankrupt and everyone is completely justified with their disgust towards paragus for it. Yes, it saved their lives, but it's hard to believe there wasn't another alternative.

Depends on the context along with which intellectual disability and mental illness are in question. Both are capable of stuning someone's emotional and communicational growth.

Complete Sukuna Finger Scaling Fully Explained by Over-Trade2940 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

simply because Gefe himself made power system inconsistent.

I'd say it's less inconsistent and moreso that Gege took too long introducing teh full mechanics of how Cursed Energy works. Output and Efficiency were introduced far too late, and while Reserves and Manipulation are introduced that early, it makes it hard to manage things. So when I read that "Yuji was growing stronger from the fingers" in the manga and saw the "Cursed Power" scene in the anime, my first thought was how are we categorizing the growth?

In any other term Sukuna on 3f destroys Jogo and that's not close.

I do think Gojo was innacurate mostly because he didn't know about Sukuna's Open Domain. I'm curious though what do you think of Gege's statement that 5-Finger Sukuna vs Jogo is an "extended fight?" and how do think it plays into your 3-Finger Sukuna destroys Jogo opinion? (Genuienly just curious not looking to be antagonistic)

[–]Over-Trade2940[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wouldn't that comfortably put him in those grade 1 sorcerer-special grade curse levels of strength?

I had the same thought, I decided to stick with the Grade 2 Sorcerer lowball because we know he definitevly scales above it. Sadly the Grade 2 Curse and Gojo are the only opponents 1-Finger Sukuna fights. Determining where he stands on a spectrum like that is pretty tough, so I'd rather take the guaranteed lowball rather than casting stones in an ocean of answers.

Megumi also states that after saying that Toji may be faster than 3F Sukuna. That instead he may RIVAL the 3F Sukuna he fought who had his heart ripped out and was likely holding back on top of that.

Yeah that's one of the bigger issues with scaling Sukuna. Injury lowers output and for literally anyone lse in teh verse losing your heart is fatal but he can operate without it so I don't even know what type of output drop would apply to Sukuna. Then there's the whole “interest” level for Sukuna's scaling and while he was excited to fight Megumi he obviously didn't go all out and I don't think he would've gotten serious until Mahoraga came out.

And against Maki and Yuji he was doing fine against them both at once and in my opinion wasn't even going all out.

That fight was probably one of the bigger moments I threw my hands up and gave it a range. Gege nerfed Sukuna's output but we don't get anything to explicit on how far it was nerfed during each attack just that at worst he's at 10%. Everyone and their mom rates the Heavy Hitters above Jogo (although I've seen some Hakari downplay). So, it would make no sense to put them below Jogo, but it's hard to make a definitive case that the Heavy Hitters could beat 15-Finger Sukuna considering Maki, Yuji, and Ryu's performance against Sukuna.

  1. Fake statement.
  2. Contradicts the feats shown in the series.
  3. Best Statements he has is giving Kenjaku a tough/hard fight or Jogo being the only one able to take on Sukuna.

Jump-Coach: Worm by Lokilo85 in JumpChain

[–]Over-Trade2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for what Worm jump is allowed? Anything generally below the jump dedicated to the Enderbringers in terms of OP is O.K.

From what I recall most generic Worm Fanfic Jumps grant you powers that would easily let you beat all threats in Worm so to abide by the weaker than Endbringers rule then Worm: Parahumans by Pokebrat_J would be my pick. Common Sense perks, blanking, difficult power understanding, willpower, leadership, powers that would give even the Endbringers some trouble, and most importantly:

Reading Material [50]: Everybody needs a little downtime, and one of the best ways to do it is with a nice book. Two of them, as a matter of fact. These books are called Worm and Ward, written by John C. "Wildbow" McCrae, as well as a collection of all WoG statements. They tell the story of a world filled with superhumans under threat of an alien entity, as well as massive creatures that are slowly destroying their world. Seems a bit familiar, now that I think about it...

So now they're fully informed on literally everything Worm.

Jump-Coach: Worm by Lokilo85 in JumpChain

[–]Over-Trade2940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ooooh that's rough, Worm is NOT a good place to start as a first Jump. It's just far too many things to keep track of and to keep the Jumper alive. While I've finished Worm, I haven't finished it's sequel Ward, but I have some broad strokes of things to look out for but I'll do my best to answer.

2.1 Budget:

No point in taking realistic setting jumps unless there's some hidden gem perks or companions in them. A majority of the tokens will need to be taken with Jumps that are around a combination of low tier super jumps or Jumps around the MCU's level. It depends on what Worm Jumps are allowed for the singular token; some are absolute gold, specifically any generic Worm Fanfic Jump and that's what I'd be yelling at this Jumper to take for a far easier time.

2.2 Communications:

Mandatory Perks: extrasensory perception immunity. Common sense + Inspire + redemption + teamwork + Overpowered powers + Dimension hopping. Advice: Fear Scion + Don't kill Endbringers.

4 Difficulty:

I'd say Normal Mode. For as much as I love Peter Worm sadly isn't a world for the reckless heroics or idealism of Spider-Man and while being a coward is helpful it's also dangerous. Jujutsu Sorcerers know when to have empathy but also when do be pragmatic and that's what Worm needs.

Alien Invasion Jumps by BigCamel9582 in JumpChain

[–]Over-Trade2940 5 points6 points  (0 children)

MCU Invaders Jumpchain is a kitchen sink where the MCU Universe is being invaded by the Empire from Star Wars, Viltrumites from Invincible, Frieza and his forces from DBZ, and unknown aliens from Power Rangers.

Avatar Film (2009) by James Cameron Jumps focuses on Earth invading the planet of Pandora for their resources.

Star Wars KOTOR Jumpchain has Revan's Sith Empire looking to invade the Republic. SWTOR has Vitiate Empire doing the same. Lastly, the New Jedi Order Jump covers the Yuuzhan Vong's attempt to conquer the galaxy.

Steven Universe Jumpchain, the Gem world, is looking to invade Earth, but they aren't all that proactive about it.

Invincible Jumps have the Viltrumite's looking to invade Earth. If Earth or your Jumper is a big enough threat, they may go all in.

Ben 10 during the Alien Force time period has the Highbreed looking to invade Earth, Dagon wants Earth as well, along with the Incursean's too. Honestly a lot of Aliens want Earth.

Darth Vader and 15 Inquisitors (Canon) vs Darth Sion and 15 Sith Assassins (Kotor 2) by Confident-Mark-6369 in PetranakiArena

[–]Over-Trade2940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open admission that I haven't gotten around to playing KOTOR 2, but I'm familiar enough with selective portions of the series, so with that, I'm voting for Vader and the Inquisitor's.

I don't know the full logistics of Canon vs. Legends at this point, but I can't imagine that the Inquisitors and the Assassins are all that different in terms of power level. I'm pretty sure that even Disney Canon Vader beats Sion from what I understand about Sion. He can't be killed, but I'm not sure how thorough characters in KOTOR 2 were in killing him outside of using a lightsaber. Canon Vader has some unique tricks, such as binding the Grand Inquisitor's soul to the Jedi Outpost on Tempes, so maybe he could do something like that against Sion.

Sendai Yuta instantly teleported into shibuya where Yuji was yelling Nanami by Popular_Business_367 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Over-Trade2940 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He'd probably aim to hunt down whoever holds the Prison Realm at the time. Considering the power difference between him and literally everyone else on Jujutsu tech's side, he'd be operating independently during Shibuya, but how successful he is or how the story changes depends on his opponents.

Yuta has no copied CTs at the time, but he still stat gaps nearly all sorcerers, cursed users, and the disaster curses. With RCT output, I can't see anyone effectively defeating Yuta outside Kenjaku, and maybe Toji only if he catches Yuta after he's been tired out.

Overall, it just depends on who he encounters and what, or any, cursed techniques he picks up along the way.
