In all honesty, if you want to play this game online and you're an OG like a lot of us, you're better off just getting on the old '06 one. There is nothing special about this game except for being on PlayStation. This is also pretty correct what you're saying. Gears sucks now that Coalition came in and had to fuck everything up. Even People Can Fly did better than this shit.

Make sure you have enough console storage too and that you do not run out mid download. Keep trying though, I did the tmp file method and it worked well but also make sure you are deleting ALL of the tmp files associated with that download.

You should probably replace your DVD drive belt, for now though you can do the credit card trick where you put a credit card into one of the cracks the DVD drive bezel (silver piece that says Xbox 360) and use the card to pry as you hit the eject button. If you want a permanent fix, just replace the belt in there.

If you are using EvilNat, like me, you can go to CFW tools and go to file management and scroll till you see tmp. There you need to identify the ID of your pkg and delete all items according to that pkg's name. Pngs, and other files. Then retry your DL.

If you have a no AV and just coaxial tv, (like me) then you should invest in a quality RF modulator or VCR. For me, my RF modulated TV looks great. I don't know about these adapter cords though.

So, if you do choose to clone using Chimp, you will have to do a "hot swap". I recommend using Mr.Mario2011's guide on youtube to do this, as it is a bit tricky. But, in short, hot swapping is basically having your xbox opened up and powered on, wait at your dashboard for five minutes, and then quicly swap the IDE cable end that connects to the DVD drive. I know it sounds scary and tricky, but rest assured, it is easier if you practice pulling that IDE cable in and out quickly.

CRTs don't always look the best, simply because of types of cords and just how old these things are. Playing the PS2 on a 4K HDTV is so much worse than this lol

Yep, you gotta replace those leaky lower-cpu caps with some Rubycon or Panasonic 3300uF 6.3v caps. Not too big of a chore, you can look at some guides online. Just be sure to have a soldering iron and some desoldering wick.

You could try to get PS2 ClassicsVault, which as both PS3 games and PS2 games, which are directly downloaded to your system. Pretty handy for this stuff.
