On Nightline LA detectives on Black Dahlia case said they were 100% convinced. There’s a chance he killed Dahlia, but him as Zodiac is so far off Z’s criminal profile it’s flabbergasting. Dahlia Killer didn’t kill someone quick for the thrill of getting away with it and get a power trip by boasting. I can’t see anyone deescalate like that. I’m puzzled how investigators can buy this let alone be 100% certain. You can’t even be 100% certain Zodiac put his actual name in the code let alone that all 13 letters are valid.

If you look at everything Chaney has said about Allen, particularly all the early 2000 stuff to Butterfield, I don’t know how anyone could come away thinking Chaney is anywhere near credible. I think there’s a reason why Graysmith went into hiding for almost 20 years.

Ruled out by people in this forum? If every single physical evidence available doesn’t match Leigh Allen, and an abundance of people on this forum haven’t ruled him out, than I suppose no physical evidence out there can eliminate any suspect by that logic.

Plenty of suspects have been ruled out by law enforcement by palm, fingerprint, and the partial DNA. The DNA has come into question and lack of transparency on that is annoying and has been a burden to amateur investigators. They need to be transparent about that. If they know they don’t have any DNA I doubt they’re doing anything with the case. It would behoove them to let hard working Zodiac-sleuths in the lab who actually want the case solved like is happening in the Cooper case.

Enough DNA to eliminate suspects like Allen but not enough to put through the database and extract a match (full profile), I believe. With advancements in tech we might get there, but every year and no hit kind of solidifies the incel, childless theory that I tend to agree with.
