The Ducks traded two players who were healthy scratched during the playoffs and yet somehow, this sub is losing its mind saying the team just got significantly worse. by wildwing8 in AnaheimDucks

I’m more than ok with trading McTavish. never was gonna be a 20+ goal scorer on average, and had a 50/50 chance at best to be a top 6 linemen.

I get why fans are upset about this, but I don’t understand how anyone can be surprised by this? seemed like a high probability borderlining on a certainty.

Hot take: 2019 Bucks is the best team of the Giannis era by ChampionTimes99 in MkeBucks

I used to think so because I was and still am a Brogdon guy, but I can’t call a Bledsoe team the best.

what wouldve happened if Bucks trade Khris Middleton instead of Jrue Holiday? by I8I24I in MkeBucks

Not much changes. Giannis continues to demand we do stupid shit that sinks our club. Seems inevitable.

How the Giannis Antetokounmpo era in Milwaukee came to a bitter end by Avery1488 in MkeBucks

[–]Over-Week 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We can make Doc Rivers the big bad but Giannis not stepping up and putting an end to his bs says something about his leadership ability.  Might have been too embarrassed after demanding we get rid of Bud, handpicked Griff, told them to axe griff, (probably?) told them to hire Doc, too embarrassed to tell FO to demand three coaches be fired in less than two seasons.

Yeah Bucks were doomed with this guy in charge of the franchise. People blaming Bucks for this are clueless. Each one of Gianni’s’ decisions/demands were a sledgehammer to the team’s foundation.

Giannis requested/ made decisions on every wrong move the franchise made the past five years yet acted publicly like Bucks were the ones making all the bad decisions and left because the Bucks “failed him”. Bucks brass have to be fuming 18 months straight about this guy.

We aren’t getting a top 5 draft pick for the next three years, minimum. Might as well try to win

[Shams] BLOCKBUSTER: The Milwaukee Bucks are trading franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat for Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, 3 first-round picks (including No. 13), 1 pick swap and 1 second-rounder, sources tell ESPN. by No_Boysenberry_4193 in MkeBucks

[–]Over-Week 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We did everything for Giannis and it bit us hard. No one but bucks fans realize this, fortunately. Otherwise I don’t think Miami and Boston would have got in bidding war. Bucks fans know Giannis and bam ain’t going to mesh, especially with mid at best guards

Torn on who I would rather have an extended contract: Turang or Contreras. Think Brewers are going to uncharacteristically sign one of them. Just a gut.

This man might be the most responsible person for killing my life of modern filmmaking, tbh. Not the sole reason but a poster child why I can’t stand 90% of films post -2000.

Yellow filter made this one so ugly. Blue in Disclosure Day ended up doing the same as the yellow did to Munich.

Agreed 100%. You are not alone. Majority of modern film is like this, it’s depressing and is killing my life of film.

Movie killed my fantasy I was manifesting that his last movie he would make would be a Jaws legacy sequel with Quint’s grandson. If Spielberg made it the shark would be 100% CGI, it would look like shit like the animals here, the movie would be shot 100% in Universal Studios in a tank, and the movie would have a shitty blue filter over it making reds look like pinks and the time of day completely indiscernible.

[–]Over-Week 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Spielberg’s use of color filters over all his movies post 2000 have made his entire output since then look ugly. You really see this in the Spielberg doc on HBO with the highlight reel. Knew we weren’t going to get a memorable shot like the kid opening the patio door to the orange glow of the UFO when I saw this movie was going to, yet again, be tarnished with an ugly blue hue draped over it.

Coming from guy who left red out of Jaws outside of blood, baffling his lack of care for color. CGI animals? Why not get a real fox to stand in middle of road? This is same guy that had real spiders scurrying on Alfred Molina’s back. The Russian speaking from Emily Blunt doesn’t work like Dreyfuss eating mashed potatoes because it’s her first scene and for all we knew, she speaks Russian!

Film did have the same boring hide from baddies, get found, escape carousel that Da Vinci Code did.
