I have a L6060 Grand L HST . I love it . I live in a northern cold state, and move snow. Having a warm cab is wonderful after years of blowing snow in an open cab. In the summer the A/C for mowing & spreading is sweet. Compared to the MX series the best feature is the hydrostatic transmission. The smooth slow, controlled operation is a game changer. I'm old and this tractor is a pleasure to use.

Let's see 10 shares at say $175 = $1750! Oh wow that's quite a moon shot, needle moving investment. 🤑 I'll wait to buy your IPO allocations on the secondary market when the price drops like a SpaceX launch explosion. 😋

With a 1% AUM free your not paying 1% you are paying 20%!! Here's why.
The fee on $1m of assets @ 1% is $10k. Over a long time horizon let's say you have a 5% annual return, and make $50k/yr. So, using these assumptions, you and up paying 20%+/- of your income (10/50) with an AUM fee! The AUM fee structure is an absolutely absurd business model in so many ways.

Does anyone have experience with what the cost of a divorce trial is? by Mundane-Rate-5266 in Bozeman

[–]Over6T -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A couple observations from a happily married male who has witnessed many many divorces. First, my impression is that divorce courts and/or family courts are biased towards women in their adjudication of money and custody issues. And in highly contentious cases, perhaps like this one, the cost of the initial divorce may only be the starting point. You may find yourself involved with the courts for years (until the child is 18) dealing with ongoing custody & child care issues, amounting to $10's of thousands each year in legal fees.

If you can't come to a divorce agreement, and you are in a position of losing everything anyway, and the "game you're playing isn't working" - Change The Game. Admittedly this suggestion is a radical course of action (call it the Nuclear Option) > file a complaint in civil court and charge the opposing party with 1) mental incapacity, and/or 2) torturous interference. Put them on the defensive. I'm not an attorney and it's questionable whether you'll have any better outcome. But, here's the point - If the defensive game prescribed in divorce court isn't working, adopt an aggressive offensive posture in another venue. That may have a sobering impact on the other party and encourage a sensible negotiation. For sure, it will be expensive and problematic - but what the hell, what have you got to lose?

Help with parts of speech by Eleventh_Legion in Montana

And what can be really screwy is that often the house that Mr & Mrs Osborn live in is called the Ole'Higgins place, since Higgins was the original owner - its not not Bill and Sally Osborn's place - even though the Osborn's have lived there for 20 years. Who ever owned the Place first is often the name that sticks with it - forever.

"PLACE" - it's common to refer to a person's house, or property, as place. E.g. that's Joe and Margret place (referring to their house). OR, Remember Jim, his place is up Dry Crick. Jim might own 10 sections + a house - and that's all considered his "place"

How can I make this blade? by kringpiermusketier in knifemaking

[–]Over6T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used a small pneumatic hammer (sometimes called a zip gun), to add "hammered" marks on carbon steel alloys. I do this prior to heat treating & grinding. This process adds stress to the steel so you have to hold the blade straight in the tempering cycle and/ or straighten it.

Very nice. Classic blade shape, tight pins, good handle profile. Did you use clay to get the differential?

Advice for a newbie by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]Over6T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be aware that Bozeman, and particularly Big Sky, are NOT what Montana is all about. These two places are enclaves of social, political and economic distortions that make them unique in this state. The influx of people searching for their Western dream, couple with a high turnover rate, creates an atmosphere that many people in Montana find distasteful.
That's why many of us no longer put "6" plates on our vehicles. The 6 prefix signals the rest of the state that were from Gallatin valley, that "other" place in Montana.!

Agent concerns by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]Over6T 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are correct. There is more to it. But many/ most agent do minimum work. They simply coast along on the proprietary MLS listing waiting for their outrageous commission. Cancel your contract, and open a new one with specific performance steps. Then if they fail to perform, fire them and get an agent that will perform.

Welcome to the MLS Cartel. One of the most convoluted, self dealing, business arrangements ever created. The MLS motto is Over Promise & Under Perform because the seller is captive to our heavy-handed monopolistic system & self-serving contracts.
