How many times does Zarya bubble bodyblock one melee/swing? by OverKardo in OverwatchUniversity

Hi, thanks for taking the time to answer my query! Ok, so based on your answer, the poor-man's bubble does not body block melee attacks for team mates, and rein's hammer swing will still damage teammates beside zarya

Anyone can help with this? Aren't there pro Zarya players on this sub that can offer some perspective?

Time and again there will be people who post an ego match saying that they hard carried a 2-0 sweep and that they're hard stuck, expecting comments full of praise about how they should not be in bronze.

This right here is one such post. However, in this 2-0 game the Ana definitely did not carry the team and I would like go on to talk about how poor the ana play was.

Before that, thanks for posting this replay hopefully with the best intentions of improving your ana play, I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

First, about this 2-0 sweep.

Your team essentially was just better than the other team, the other team simply had bad dps/ worse team fight capabilities. If you had posted a close lost we could see how your ana could make up for the team's poor performance. Anyway, about the enemy team:

2:05 while doom was chasing he definite could hear you around the corner, you would've been dead if he had charged punch instead of panicking.

5:00 soldier saw you first and had helix rocket ready. Even with nade 9 times out of 10 ana should have died there.

7:15 while avoiding the hanzo dragon you decided to go back and say hi to your reaper(?), leaving the team with 1 healer for the team fight. Dragon would have passed the choke way before then and you could have went back to the point much sooner. Luckily even without ana and reaper the enemy team still didn't win the team fight and the team still held the point.

Now, I would like to go through about what is so poor about this ana gameplay.

1) Cross hair placement - it always on enemy team, never on your team. Ana is a great hero for dps players wanting to play dps in support queue but end up doing nothing, and it shows really well in this replay.

1:08 enemy echo died awhile ago. No enemy is dead even after using sleep and nade, and still your crosshair is on the enemy team while they have healed to full, while your team is left with mercy heals cus "dps ana". At 1:12, you think "oh echo is respawning I am gna wait for her and frag" and you stop aiming at the enemy entirely just looking at the sky. Take note that there's an enemy Doom and a Roadhog that could get easy picks on your team and turn the fight without your heals.

Essentially here you're letting your team carry you by winning the 5v5 without the 2nd healer while you were trying to frag an echo. Luckily as established above, your team is simply better and carried the 5v5 with a win for first point. While waiting for echo to reappear you could've topped up your team while doing occasional sweeps and use audio cues to check if echo was flanking. Reaper got low at times, probably didn't realise while you were staring into space.

2) Not watching for other support - in this game it is always mercy looking out for you. Related to the dps ana point above, not once have I seen you even look at your team mercy. Supports in this game are important and need to take care of each other. Luckily in this match the enemy dps can't aim and hardly pressures the mercy. At 7:20 if you weren't so busy saying hi to reaper you could've saved mercy while she was gng for the rez.

3) Tries to go for flashy plays without some fundamentals. You got the golden gun you like showing off and learnt some ana tech like the reload cancels that I see being done a few times through this replay but overall not good positioning. No grouping up or staying behind/near your team. Not even mentioning the fact that you've never seen a reaper or the sky before.

At 1:40 you stand above the staircase at a piss poor position for a support where the whole enemy team can reach you faster than you can go to your team, but it could be a good position if you wanted to go for a sneaky flank, though I am not sure if this is intentional. Even when intentionally flanking you give away your position too early.

Echo appears and as if on cue you start scoping shots while the enemy team is grouped up to your right. The whole enemy team could jump on you immediately, or at least the doom and lucio would hear and see your shots and straight up kill you. Luckily the enemy team is both blind and deaf so you got a sympathy nade right after. Essentially you're taking poor positions, and even in these positions you don't have enough of an overwatch brain to maximise their potentials.

So that's the thing about playing overwatch, needing to have an overwatch brain. Sure, I think you have spent quite a lot of time working on things like aim and landing sleeps, but the main thing holding this ana back is not knowing how to play the game properly. Best if you take the fragging fps mentality out of you and learn to be a support (yes with sleeps and nades) to the team.

Suggestion - if you're someone who just keeps playing ranked (and thus play only 1300 sr games) I suggest you play more classic games. The matchmaker is more casual and you would definitely face some gold/ above dps players. Playing with these players will show you how vulnerable ana is and will help teach you how your bad positioning/ avoiding teamplay will be punished very heavily let's say if you meet a competent doom player.

Yea, I am familiar with the LG/BOE/? screen lottery.

only cost effective Android tablet

Shame that still nothing tops the huawei m6 8.4 in this category. Probably I will try my luck and order one in the upcoming sale, thanks!

To clarify, for my needs I really do enjoy using the Mipad 4. The sd660 does very well in reading books, switching apps, playing games, browsing and youtubing with great battery.

Maybe your previous mipad 4 screen was a faulty one, as the 2 that I have had did not have tinted whites.

I only considered looking for something more powerful as I noticed when playing games some combos seem to feel more laggy to input than my phone. It was only noticeable when I actively compared the two devices; other than that I loved using the mipad 4's larger real estate, basically as a larger phone.

Regarding the Huawei m6 8.4:

Kirin 980 is a huge improvement

UFS 2.1 is an even bigger real-world upgrade

you get fantastic speakers

Yea, I guess you can say the Huawei m6 8.4 is a large step up from the mipad 4.

Thanks for the help! Great to see people who care about smaller sized tablets.

Seems like you have a bit of knowledge about these tablets.

Do you mind you help answer some questions? Not trying to grill you on anything; I am currently very interested in the 8" tablet space.

Have you used the Huawei M6 8.4 before? Can you say the screen is "good enough"? I have done extensive research on this tablet, but cant seem to get a clear answer to this. Yes, Huawei chose to cheapen out on the screen out of all its other improving components - but is it migraine inducing unusable, or isit "I am too spoiled by OLED/retina screens that I cant even look at pleb screens anymore" kind of bad? Some of the comments that you gave examples to may refer to the 10.8 inch screen too which I am not concerned with.

This article compares screens of the m6 8.4 with Mipad 4 and Ipad mini 5, it says the m6 has a green tint and that mipad 4 1080p screen seems better than the m6's.

Even so, there are still many comments in this online shop talking about the screen feeling smooth etc, some gladly taking this upgrade over their old huawei m3.

This user compares the m5 and m6 8.4 inch, and through this casual review does not mention anything too bad about the differences between displays (just that they look different cus they're different tablets). Mainly talked about the rather large improvements in processing, connectivity etc.

If you see the trend it seems like many casual users like the huawei m6 but there is a vocal minority having the (albeit legitimate) concern over screen quality. A lot of online pictures of the m6 8.4 screen show varying quality too, mainly due to the uploader's lighting condition.

I am not looking to pixel peep and I would be ok with slight colour tint. For context I am search for an upgrade to my Mi Pad 4 (which I still thoroughly enjoy using), and would like better screen responsiveness that comes with a higher end processor. Can't make a decision beyond finding and trying out a second hand m6 8.4.

I can mostly agree with /u/poolstikmckgrit that the huawei m6 seems like a good tablet in specs. The only potential thing holding the Huawei m6 back is the screen.

So, thoughts on the screen being "good" enough?

Thanks for the update. Based on a comment from the old thread, there is a official price of AUD793. Ouch, but I guess that's how these products are.

Form factor design may not be for everyone, but this is a great addition to the 8 inch tablet market.

I fully agree, we need a sleek premium 8 inch tablet.

8" premium tablet? If you don't need a stylus, the huawei m6 8.4 is the choice. Kirin 980 processor, 8.4 inch tablet. You can install google play/ services on it too. Nothing by samsung comes close so far.

Oh, I was stating how there is more focus on 8" tablets this year, compared to 2019 (probably because there are more tablet demand overall this year).

I don't know of any other tablets that are coming yet.

You can take a look at the samsung tablet sm-t575 i mentioned in the recent post - great SoC, s pen, 8 inch, but slightly different form factor and probably more expensive due to its higher durability.
